TODAY’S DAILY DECLARATIONS: DAILY DECLARATIONS FOR TODAY 13 APRIL 2020

One of the benefits that the Psalmist listed in our Bible text for today is divine healing. In one of my visits to the hospital to pray for the sick, I visited the cancer ward where I saw a woman who was bald as a result of cancer praising God from the depth of her heart.

I was greatly moved. Yet there are people who enjoy divine health and still don’t know how to appreciate God. Don’t wait till when you are ill and then get healed before you show gratitude to God.

My prayer for you is that God will grant you divine health which is superior to divine healing in Jesus’ name.

Another benefit the Psalmist recounted is good food and appetite to eat. There is the story of an Ijesha woman who would always thank God for food and appetite during testimony time.

Her pastor got bored and stopped her from testifying. So one day, the Pastor became I’ll and all sorts of food were brought to him, but he could eat none.

Then Mama-Ijesha came visiting and asked innocently whether Pastor was eating well. It was then the Pastor realised the importance of a good appetite. Don’t wait till you lose your appetite before you thank God.

ACTION POINT:

Today, spend fifteen minutes to thank God for all the benefits you have received from Him.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 SAMUEL 13-14; LUKE 14:1-24

HYMN 2

1. Let us with a gladsome mind
Praise the Lord for He is kind:

Chorus:
For His mercies shall endure,
ever faithful, ever sure.

2. God, with all-commanding might,
Filled the new-made world with light:

3. All things living He doth feed;
His full hand supplies their need:

4. Let us then with gladsome mind
Praise the Lord, for He is kind:
