1 Timothy 6:15
Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
MEMORY VERSE: Psalms 8:1 “O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens‘
LESSON AIM: To let them know how powerful the name of Jesus is.
CENTRAL TRUTH: His name is above all names.
Names are very powerful. Your name is your first identity, to yourself and to the world. You introduce yourself first by saying your name.
When a child is born, the parents will carefully choose the name to call their child, why? Because as the name of the child is, so shall he be. He begins to answer to that name, good or bad. And before long, we will begin to see the effect of that name in the child’s life.
A. Let us write out these names and discuss their meanings*
From Rev. 22:13:
From Rev. 19:16&1 Timothy 6:15
Teenagers to mention more of the glorious names of Jesus.
DISCUSSION: Teenagers to share with one another their experiences of when they have called the name of Jesus and it worked for them.
INVITATION/APPLICATION: The names of Jesus are so powerful. Call His name and thou shall be saved.
CONCLUSION: The name of Jesus is such a glorious and powerful name. The name has been tested and trusted. No other name in heaven and on earth is as powerful.
