Welcome to day 4 of the 2022 RCCG Holy Ghost Congress. Today we proceed with the “From Curses to Blessings”. God’s servants are ready to dish out what God has invested in them for us, dont miss it!
Topic: From Curses to Blessings
Text: Psalm 40: 1-3
• On earth, there are 2 major powerful forces: blessings and curses. Genesis 1: 26-28
• A man can plant in the best of soils, and still have no harvest, due to
+ having no control over the rain.
Deuteronomy 28:12, 24, Amos 4: 7-8
+ competition. John 5: 2-9, Genesis 28: 21-26
+ Enemies abound. 1 Peter 5:8, Genesis 3:19
• The one who is cursed will work like an elephant and eat like a rat.
The one who is blessed will work like a rat and eat like an elephant.
• Your life is being controlled by either one of the 2 forces (blessings or curses).
What is a blessing?
• A blessing is a summon to all forces in heaven, on earth and underneath the earth, to support the one who is blessed to succeed.
Genesis 27: 22-27
• A curse means let all the forces in heaven, on and underneath the earth, work against someone so they never succeed. Genesis 3: 17-19
+ Jericho was a cursed land. 2 Kings 2:19-22, Joshua 6:26
• Curses flow like a river. Once it starts on a person, it flows to their descendants.
• The cursed person is like a man driving in the wrong direction but at a high speed.
+ Gehazi. 2 Kings 5: 20-27
• A blessed person keeps going upwards day by day. Genesis 30
• To move from being cursed to being blessed, requires tremendous anointing.
• To transform a life against all evil forces, takes a tremendous amount of anointing.
• They need to be put on solid ground.
It takes a massive amount of anointing to transform:
> Curses to blessings
> Victim to Victor
+ Levi. Numbers 3:11-13, Exodus 32: 25-28
Salvation Call
If you want to give your life to Jesus, cry unto Him to save your soul, forgive all your sins, wash you clean in His blood, and receive you into the family of God.
Tell Him You’ll do His will from now on.
Prayer Points
1. Father, I believe You. From now on, I am blessed in the morning, afternoon, evening, night, and all the days of my life.
2. Father, every curse that has been operating in my life, I believe You that I shall see them no more.

OPENING PRAYER
Why don’t you just lift your hands to the Most High God and bless the King of kings? Bless the Lord of lords, bless the Ancient of Days.
Give Him glory, give Him honour, give Him adoration. Bless His name. He is worthy to be praised, He is worthy to be adored, there is none like Him, He is the Almighty God.
The Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, the Highest, the Greatest, the Oldest, the Wisest, the Richest, the Beginning of all beginnings, the End of all endings, the Unchangeable Changer, the Holy One of Israel, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah,
the soon coming King, the One who opens and no man can shut, the One who shuts and no man can open.
The One who decreed let there be light and there was light. Praise Him, adore Him, worship Him. Let Him hear your voice. Praise the King of kings, thank You Lord. Lord of hosts, thank You. King of glory, thank You. Blessed be Your Holy Name, thank You Father. In Jesus’
Mighty Name we worship. Amen!

ANNOUNCEMENT
Well, you know very well that tomorrow is the big night. Tomorrow we will be discussing the Double Portion in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.
THE MESSAGE
TEXT – Psalm chapter 40
1 I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2 He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
PRAYER
God is going to hear the cry of somebody today.
I believe Psalm 40:1-3 is written for me. If it is written for you, let God hear you shout Hallelujah, Hallelujah!
There is something called a fearful miracle.
Somebody is going home tonight with a fearful miracle.
On earth, there are two major powerful forces:
1. Curses.
2. Blessings.
In Genesis 1:26-28, when God created man, He told him to have dominion. But then, a close examination of the situation on earth shows that there are many things beyond the control of man
that was asked to have dominion.
God said be fruitful, multiply, et cetera. But the man can plant in the best soil and still have no harvest. Why? Because he has no control over rain.
FOR SOMEONE WHO IS BLESSED
In Deuteronomy 28:12, the Bible says God can give someone rain in its season, that is for someone who is blessed.
Deuteronomy 28:12 The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
FOR SOMEONE WHO IS CURSED
But in the same Deuteronomy 28:24, the same God says, the rain for that particular person would be powder and dust, that is for someone one who is cursed.
Deuteronomy 28:24 The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
Amos:4-7 tells us that God can rain in one part of the city and leave the other part dry.
When we talk about having dominion, there are certain parameters beyond the reach or control of a man.
Apart from having no control over rain, there is issue of competition.
In John 5:2-9, the Bible tells us the story of multitudes of sick people by the Pool of Bethesda. The Bible tells us about a man who had been there for thirty-eight years, he believed, he had faith, but said, “I have tried thirty-eight times and failed thirty-eight times because each time I was coming, somebody got in before me.” That is competition.
Even among children of the same mother, there could be competition.
In Genesis 25:21-26, two boys, twins, in the same womb were already quarrelling before they were born. The day they were born the first one came out first, the second one grabbed his leg. I don’t know what he was trying to say. Maybe he is saying, “Where are you going to?”
Even your own brother, son of the same mother can be a competitor, saying to you, “You are not going to make it”. Not to talk of several enemies known and unknown headed by their big Oga, the Devil.
1 Peter 5:8 says your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
The Bible says in Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
The implication of Genesis 3:19, i’m thinking like a Mathematician, is that if somebody has to sweat before he could eat, if the situations were reversed, somebody can succeed without
sweating.
If the one who is cursed had to sweat, do you know what that means? He will work like an Elephant and eat like an Ant. Then it means if the other fellow is blessed, he will work like a Rat and eat like an Elephant.
Your life as it is today is being controlled by either of these two forces: curse or blessing.
CONSIDER ISSAC
Issac was a blessed fellow. The Bible tells us that when there was famine in the land, he sowed in the land and reaped a hundredfold in one year.
When you want to know why someone is succeeding and another one is failing, you need to find out: Is he blessed or is he cursed?
The reason we have gathered tonight is that in the Name that is above every other name, even if you are cursed, that curse is going to be changed to blessing.
WHAT EXACTLY IS BLESSING?
In Genesis 27:22-27, when Issac was blessing Jacob, pay attention to what he said:
1. The dew of heaven will cooperate with you.
2. The earth will cooperate with you by bringing you its fatness.
3. The people on earth whether they like it or not will cooperate with you.
4. Your brethren, your mother’s children will cooperate with you.
5. Even your enemies, those who dare curse you will be ‘taken care off’.
WHAT IS BLESSING?
In a very simple language, a blessing is a summon/decree to all the forces in heaven, on earth, and even underneath the earth to join together to support you, to see that the one who is blessed will succeed.
That is why the greatest prayer anybody can pray for you is to say, “God bless you.”
PRAYER
I’m saying to somebody right now, God bless you.
WHAT IS A CURSE?
When you compare that to Genesis 3:17-19 when God was cursing Adam, He said:
1. The ground will work against you.
2. Instead of the ground to produce good things, it will produce thorns and thistles.
3. Until you sweat heavily, there will be no food for you.
4. You will depreciate so steadily until you finally die.
A curse is saying let all the forces in heaven, on earth, and underneath the earth work against somebody, so that the person will never make it.
PRAYER
Every curse upon your life shall be destroyed.
When you want to read examples of full blown blessings, read Deuteronomy 28:1-13. It tells you what will happen when you are blessed.
If you want to read what full blown curses can be, read Deuteronomy 28:15-68.
CONSIDER JERICHO
In 2 Kings 2:19-22, the elders of Jericho said to Elisha, “Our city is just looking beautiful, but the water is bad. There is barrenness, and there is death”. Why? Because Jericho was cursed.
Joshua 6:26 And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the Lord, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.
Curses flow like a river, once it starts with somebody, the children and the grandchildren are in trouble.
PRAYER
Any curse coming upon you from your forefather, God will destroy today.
On the other hand, consider Issac that I mentioned earlier in Genesis 26:1-16.
In the midst of famine, when everything was dry, Issac prospered so mightily that the king of the nation told him to go away. One fellow became mightier than a nation.
By considering the circumstances of the world not only in Nigeria, by human calculation, the coming year is supposed to be a tough year. But do you know one thing, there is somebody listening to me now, the coming year is when you are going to prosper the most. Why? Because you will be blessed. When you are blessed, while others might be suffering, you will be blossoming.
A cursed person is like a man driving in the wrong direction, and going at high speed. He is driving towards destruction and all forces are saying “hurry up, hurry up”.
TAKE GEHAZI AS AN EXAMPLE
2 Kings 5:20-27.
He lied to his master. He cheated, and his master pronounced a curse on him.
He said the leprosy of Naaman will cleave on Gehazi and his seeds forever. The Bible says he was covered with leprosy immediately. Leprosy destroys the body steadily and rapidly.
Whereas a blessed man will be going higher day by day as all the forces in heaven, on earth, and underneath the earth continue to support him. Pushing him higher and higher.
For example, Jacob, in Genesis 30:27-43, the Bible tells us that he just kept on increasing until he became exceedingly great.
From tonight onward, in the Name that is above every other name, that will be your testimony.
To move from being cursed to being blessed requires a tremendous amount of anointing to transform a life against all forces.
It takes a tremendous amount of anointing to transform a man that all forces are working against to someone that all the forces are now helping.
Because, to bring somebody who is already in a pit, miry clay, horrible pit, and put him on a mountaintop, you have to do it in steps.
STEPS OUT OF A HORRIBLE PIT:
1. Pick him up from a hole.
2. Put him on the leveled ground.
3. Pick him from the leveled ground and begin to lift him up.
The fellow who is driving madly in the wrong direction.
For you to get him to drive in the right direction, do these:
1. First, you have to stop the rapid downward trend.
2. Turn the car around.
3. Bring him to level zero where he started driving in the wrong direction.
4. Then put him in the right direction and support him.
THE STORY OF A WEALTHY MAN
A wealthy man had a quarrel with his wife. The wife had a little connection with the Devil, so she pronounced a curse on him, “By the time I finish with you, you will be trekking in Lagos.”
The curse began to work and he sold his cars one by one. His money dried up until there remained one car and 50 Kobo in his pocket.
He gave his life to Jesus Christ when he almost lost everything. The day he was sharing his testimony, he was dedicating two big new houses in Lagos. The tide turned.
PRAYERS
The tide is going to turn for somebody today.
As we are entering the new year, you won’t even remember that you have suffered before.
But it takes a massive dose of anointing to change curses to blessings, and to change a victim to a victor.
In Judges 15:11-16, the enemies within bounded Samson and handed him over to the enemies without. But the Bible tells me that the Spirit of God came down on Him not gently, but massively, and the ropes were broken. And one thousand of his enemies lost their lives.
PRAYERS
Tonight, God is going to anoint you, and it will be a double portion kind of anointing to prepare you for tomorrow.
You will receive freedom tonight.
There will be a new turnaround for you tonight.
By the time God has done what He wants to do tomorrow, you will become a blessing to others.
HOW GOD CAN CHANGE CURSES TO BLESSINGS
THE STORY OF LEVI
In Genesis 49:1-7, when his father was about to die, he called all his children together and he blessed some and cursed some depending on what they had done. Levi was among the ones he cursed. The father said Levi will be scattered in Israel.
In Numbers 3:11-13, suddenly we read that God commanded Moses to bring Levi near because He wants him to become Him firstborn.
Do you know what led to that dramatic restoration? In Exodus 32:1-35, while Moses was in God’s presence to receive the Ten Commandments, the people made an idol for themselves.
When Moses returned, he saw the people dancing naked before a golden idol. When Moses saw this, he asked those who were on the Lord’s side to come to him. The Bible says the Levites gathered together with Moses. God saw this and said, “If you are on my side, then, I’m on your side.”
You know the Bible says, I love those who love me, that is God speaking.
And if God is for us, who can go against us? If God is on your side, every curse will come to an end, and blessings will take its place.
I’m not begging you tonight to give your life to Jesus if you haven’t done so, the choice is yours.
Are you tired of curses?
Would you rather move from curses to blessings?
Are you tired of working like an Elephant and eating like an Ant?
Are you tired of all forces in heaven, on earth and everywhere working against you?
Do you want a situation where whatever you touch will begin to prosper because God is now on your side? The choice is yours
ALTAR CALL
If you haven’t surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, run forward. It is only Christ that can redeem you from curses, come to Him.
SALVATION PRAYER
Cry to the Almighty God, tell Him: “Please, save my soul. Forgive all my sins. Let Your Blood wash away all my sins. Receive me into the family God.
I will have nothing more to do with sin,
I will have nothing more to do with the Devil and I will do Your will.
Ask God to be merciful unto you. Ask Him to move you from the Camp of the Devil to the Camp of the Living God.
Promise Him from now on that He will be your Lord and Saviour, and you will serve Him for the rest of your life.”
Please the rest of us, can we intercede for these people? Let’s stretch our hands towards them and pray for them that the Almighty God who saved our souls would save their own souls also.
My Father and my God, I want to thank You for Your Word. I bless Your Holy Name for the people who have responded to the Altar Call.
Father, please remember Your promise that whosoever will come unto You, You will no wise cast out, I’m asking Lord God Almighty that tonight, You will receive these people.
You will forgive them. You will please save their souls and let Your Blood wash them clean. And I pray to the Lord that they will now become members of the family of God that they will never think of going back to the world.
For the rest of their lives, Father, let them serve You. And I pray that every curse upon them would be destroyed tonight. Thank You Father, in Jesus’ Mighty Name we have prayed. Amen!
DECREE
In the Name that is above every other name, you will all be greater than me.
If you receive that let me hear you shout a big Hallelujah. HALLELUJAH!
ANOINTING SECTION
ANOINTING PRAYER POINTS
Once you receive the anointing tonight, I want you to begin to cry to the Almighty God – No more curses in my life. From now on, it’s going to be a blessing all the way.
Let all of us lift our voices together to the Almighty God and say: Father, every curse that has been operating in my life, I believe You, I will see them no more.
Every curse whether from my father’s house, from my mother’s house or something I caused myself, I shall see them no more.
Every curse that has been operating in my life, my Father in heaven I believe You that I shall see them no more.
Every curse that has been operating in my life in one way or the other, I shall see them no more.
Thank You my Father.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have prayed. Amen!
PRAYERS AFTER THE ANOINTING
This time around, you will lift your hands to the Most High God and pray: Father, I believe You, from now on, I’m blessed.
I’m blessed in the morning, I’m blessed in the afternoon, I’m blessed in the evening, I’m blessed in the night time, I’m blessed all the days of my life, and my children are blessed with me.
I believe You, Daddy, I receive it and I declare it.
I’m blessed when I come in, I’m blessed when I go out.
My children, my grandchildren, and all my generation are blessed.
FINAL BLESSINGS
My Father and my God, I stand in my position as father to these Your children, and as I pronounce on each and everyone of you, from now on, you are blessed.
Everything you touch shall prosper.
The hosts of heaven will support you.
The hosts on earth will support you.
Even the hosts underneath the earth will obey you.
You are blessed.
No more curses for you.
You will never fail again.
No more barrenness for you.
It shall be well with you.
Whatever you touch from now on will prosper.
The world will hear about you, and they will bless God for your sake.
So shall it be.
So shall it be forever.
And the blessings you have received, you will never lose.
And the curses that have been destroyed now will never resurface.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name you are blessed.
Let me hear a blessed Hallelujah. HALLELUJAH!
