OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS OCTOBER 4 2019

THEME: PREACH THE WORD

MEMORISE: Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 2 Timothy 4:2

READ: MARK 16:15-17

15. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

MESSAGE:

The moment you discover the treasure of being born again, you start to begin preaching the gospel to others so that they can enjoy the same peace that you enjoy.

Love will push you to preach to your friends. I know that as a teenager, it may sometimes be difficult for you to preach the gospel because you are shy and you don’t want your peers to make jest of you.

There are certain things you can do to make it easier to preach the gospel. First, get a friend that also wants to preach the gospel. The two of you can draw strength and courage from each other.

Secondly, be tactical with your approach. For example, if you want to preach to someone who plays basketball, watch him play, go online and find tips that can make him play better. When you approach him with what he likes and you share tips with him, he will warm up to you, then you can introduce Jesus to him.

Ultimately, the most effective message that you can preach is with your lifestyle. Live holy and be diligent in all that you do. When everyone sees you excelling, they will long to know Christ too without you even preaching to them.

KEY POINT:

If you you are too shy to preach to someone face to face, at least use your social media account.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Isaiah 29-30, Ephesians 6

Hymn 15
1. Wonderful story of love;
Tell it to me again;
Wonderful story of love;
Wake the immortal strain!
Angels with rapture announce it,
Shepherds with wonder receive it;
Sinner, 0 won’t you believe It?
Wonderful story of love.

Chorus:
Wonderful! Wonderful!
Wonderful, Wonderful story of love.

2. Wonderful story of love,
Though you are far away;
Wonderful story of love;
Still He doth call today;
Calling from Calvary’s mountain,
Down from the crystal bright fountain,
E’en from the dawn of creation,
Wonderful story of love.

3. Wonderful story of love:
Jesus provides a rest;
Wonderful story of love;
For all the pure and blest,
Rest in those mansions above us,
With those who’ve gone on before us,
Singing the rapturous chorus,
Wonderful story of Love.
