OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TEENS TUESDAY 8TH MAY 2018: WATCH YOU EXPRESSIONS

MEMORISE: The light of the eyes rejoiceth the
heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.
Proverbs 15:30

Please read: 1 Peter 3:8-12

MESSAGE:
Expressions can be described as the way you make your thoughts or feelings known verbally or
non-verbally. Your character can be measured by the way you express yourself. Open Heaven 9 May 2018

Many people were
judged on a first time basis by the way they
expressed themselves, and this either brought
positive or negative benefits to them.

You expressions can also be the look on your face when you are in certain situations. How do you look when you are being scolded or corrected?

Also, do you carry a long face when things are not going your way?
How do you express your thoughts, words and
emotions? Do you have a hostile look on your face when you talk to people?

Watch your
expressions. Watch the look on your face, learn to be more approachable by smiling often. Speak softly and kindly to people. Let your expressions
reflect Christ in you at all times.

KEY POINT:
Your expressions will determine how people relate with you – whether they run away from you or they become friends with you.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
1 Kings 16-18
John 1:29-51

Hymn 13
1. Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is the love of God flowing through you?
Are you telling the lost of the Savior?
Are you ready His service to do?

Chorus:
Make me a channel of blessing today,
Make me a channel of blessing, I pray;
My life possessing, my service blessing,
Make me a channel of blessing today.

2. Is your life a channel of blessing?
Are you burdened for those that are lost?
Have you urged upon those who are straying
The Savior who died on the cross?

3. Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is it a daily telling for Him?
Have you spoken the word of salvation
To those who are dying in sin?

4. We cannot be channels of blessing
If our lives are not free from known sin;
We will barriers be and a hindrance
To those we are trying to win.
