OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TEENS SUNDAY 4TH FEBRUARY 2018: TIME-BOUND ASSIGNMENT

MEMORISE: To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1

Please read: Esther 4:13-14

MESSAGE:
Before a decree to kill all male children born to the Israelites was passed in Egypt, God had ensured that two God-fearing midwives had been planted in their midst. They were at the right place at the right time for the right reasons. Read: Open Heaven 4 February 2018

The Lord knew what the devil was about to do, so He had gone a step ahead.

Beloved, that place where God led you to is not by accident but for a purpose.

Another person that was planted to avert the evil plan of the enemy against God’s people was Esther. Just before the execution of the plot of the enemy against the Israelites, Esther rose to the occasion and it was averted.

In every negative situation in the lives of His children, God always moves a step ahead of the enemy.

The purpose of God for the midwives was a good one. Their assignments started and ended with making sure that Moses was safely delivered and handed over to his mother. This tells us that certain assignments may be very brief, but time bound.

Be ready to speedily take up opportunities that God brings your way.

KEY POINT:
In every negative situation in the lives if His children, God always moves a step ahead of the enemy

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Exodus 34-36
Matthew 23:1-22

Hymn 2
1. When we walk with the Lord in the light of His
Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Chorus:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the
skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

4.But we never can prove the delights of His
love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.
