OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 6 AUGUST 2020 BIBLE READING MARK 10:46:52

46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.

47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.

48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.

51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.

52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 6 AUGUST 2020 MESSAGE

Certain things happen only when we become desperate. If you are gentle with your problem, you may remain in it for long.

Problems are generally stubborn. The moment you become desperate, you’ll scale obstacles that appear stubborn and heights that appear insurmountable.

The Bible says we should be as wise as a serpent and as harmless as a clove.

To be wise is to understand a situation and take the right steps to address it.

If a student has been failing in school, and he continues to give the same hours of study to studying as he has been doing, then he is a fool.

By wisdom, he should know that his study time should be tripled such that when his mates are sleeping, he would still be reading.

If a boy finds out that his friends have bad influence on him, and he still calls them friends and still move around with them, then he is a fool.

By wisdom, he should know that they are not his friends and should deliberately do away with them.

If you are not determined to always become a better version of yourself, you will stay stagnant all the days of your life.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 6 AUGUST 2020 KEY POINT

Desperate situations call for desperate measures. Be wise.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 6 AUGUST 2020 HYMN

PASS ME NOT, O GENTLE SAVIOUR

1. Pass me not, O gentle Saviour,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

CHORUS
Saviour, Saviour,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

2. Let me at Thy throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief;
Kneeling there in deep contrition,
Help my unbelief.

3. Trusting only in Thy merit,
Would I seek Thy face;
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
Save me by thy grace.

4. Thou the spring of all my comfort,
More than life to me,
Whom have lon earth beside Thee?
Whom in heaven but Thee?
