OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 17 JULY 2020 BIBLE READING PROVERBS 3:7-8

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

DAILY PERSONAL CONFESSION: I am a product of change that the unchangeable changer births. Nothing is stagnant or static in my life. I am moving forward, I am moving ahead and divine change is taking place over my life. The truth of the LORD is overwriting every false decree, document, legislation or authority working contrary to His will in my life. I am favoured, I am blessed, I am lifted, I move from glory to glory, I do not move from grace to disgrace because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. Hallelujah!

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 17 JULY 2020 MESSAGE

I learnt certain things in my formative years, and one of them is that the fear of the Lord will always keep you from sin.

The situation of things in this modern world calls for a return to holy reverence for God.

While in Secondary School, the first thing we did in the morning was devotions. And the teachers never failed to teach us to Fear God, He sees you, He knows what you are
doing. Be careful.

When we get back to our hostels, the Lagos boys would gather us and would begin to incite us to riot and fight for one reason or another.

On one occasion, they wanted us to riot because the food we were being fed was horrible and one of the boys found out that the person supplying the food was the principals relative, so they wanted us to fight for our right rather than follow laid down rules that guide submission of such complaints.

Each time this happened, I and some of the other boys would repeat what we were told at the devotion and exclude ourselves from the rebellious bunch.

Many of those rebellious boys never completed their education.

You have to remind yourself every time that God is everywhere and sees all things and would ultimately reward everyone according to their deeds. Be wise.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 17 JULY 2020 KEY POINT

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 17 JULY 2020 HYMN

WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD

1. When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way,
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

CHORUS
Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.

2. Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away,
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3. Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay,
Not a grief nor a loss,
Not a frown nor a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.

4. But we never can prove
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay,
For the favour He shows,
And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5. Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way,
What He says we will do,
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.
