Jesus referred to Christians as salt of the earth. This therefore means that Christians are to the world what salt is to food.

Today, we will look at some attributes of salt that makes it distinct.

One of the attributes of salt is its taste. So when its added to any food, it gives it a savoury taste.

Hence, without Christians in the world, the world becomes unsavoury and hopeless, Another good thing about salt is its not made for itself, but for others.

In other words, nobody would put salt on a plate and start to eat. It’s meant to be added to food in other to give it taste.

It therefore means that as a child of God, you are meant to affect the people around you positively.

You are meant to add beauty and goodness to everyone around you. Salt is also used as a preservative.

Therefore, as salt, people around you should be preserved from evil for your sake.

For instance, when you board a bus, an impending accident should be averted because you are on board.

Father, in any way I have lost my savour as salt, please restore me today in Jesus name.
