OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 13 FEBRUARY 2021

7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

10 I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you have been concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it.

MESSAGE:

A lot of believers claim to know Jesus, but does Jesus know them? Everyone can be Jesus’ friend. To be His friend, there are certain things you need to do.

One is that you need to spend quality time with Jesus through His word in prayer and fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

This is because you cannot confidently call a fellow you don’t know your friend and you cannot know someone you don’t spend quality time with.

You also have to decide to stay with Jesus. Don’t fellowship with Him for a week and step back because if you draw back, He will have no pleasure in you (Hebrews 10:38).

You also have to do whatever His word commands you to do. When you obey His word, He’ll speak to you always. When you do these, not only will you know Him, you will also get the blessings attached to knowing Him.

No wonder Apostle Paul who had revelations and had written letters to some churches which attest to his knowledge of who Jesus is, still wanted to know more of Him.

One of the blessings of knowing Christ is that He’ll direct your path and you will have good success (Joshua 1:8).

REFLECTION: Does Jesus know you?
