OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 12 OCTOBER 2020 MEMORIZE: And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; Genesis 18:17

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 12 OCTOBER 2020 BIBLE READING GENESIS 18:16-19

16. And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

17. And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

18. Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

19. For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he that spoken of him.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 12 OCTOBER 2020 MESSAGE

God loves His children so much that He does not allow bad things to happen to or around them suddenly.

From today’s Bible reading, God wanted to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah but because He knew that Lot, Abraham’s cousin and his family were there, He had to let Abraham know beforehand.

So Abraham became privy to that information and pleaded on behalf of his cousin by virtue of his closeness with God.

lf you keep distance from God, He will also be distant from you.

And if that happens, you will not be privy to some information that could either mar you or make you.

You will not have access to divine secrets that can make you great. Distance may not only be spiritual, it can also be physical.

lf you keep away from the gathering of saints, you are indirectly keeping a physical distance from God and you might not hear some revelations or get the interpretation to some revelations you have had personally.

You can stay close to God by studying and meditating on His word, by praising Him and by being passionate about kingdom matters.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 12 OCTOBER 2020 KEY POINT

No secret will be kept from those who are close to God.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 12 OCTOBER 2020 HYMN

WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD

1. When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way,
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

CHORUS
Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.

2. Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away,
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3. Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay,
Not a grief nor a loss,
Not a frown nor a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.

4. But we never can prove
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay,
For the favour He shows,
And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5. Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way,
What He says we will do,
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.
