The Proverbs 31 woman is a biblical model of womanhood that godly women could learn valuable lessons from. The lifestyle of this Proverbs 31 woman is one that is filled with lessons from Verse 10 to 31 or Proverbs 31.

The lessons apply to every woman. Career women, wives, mothers, daughters and so on.

Share this post with the women in your life to help them learn a few lessons on being a well rounded and wholesome woman.
We will share portions of this scripture and the lesson to learn from that portion.

Lessons from the Proverbs 31 Woman. (Proverbs 31:10-31)

1) “Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.” Proverbs 31:10

The Christian woman must posses a healthy self esteem and sense of self. She must recognize that she is growing to be the best version of herself and she is to be priced above rubies. She must understand that being abused, insulted and treated less is not God’s will for her and should not be accepted.

2) “The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, So that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil All the days of her life.” Proverbs 31:11

The Christian wife must give her husband more reasons to trust her through her conduct, decision making, and behaviour. She must extend the love of God to Him and do Him good and not evil.

3) “She seeketh wool, and flax, And worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants’ ships; She bringeth her food from afar. ” Proverbs 31:13

The Christian Proverbs 31 woman is industrious and willing to put her hands to work, using her talents and potentials and increasing her earning capacity.

4) “She riseth also while it is yet night, And giveth meat to her household, And a portion to her maidens.” Proverbs 31:15

The Proverbs 31 woman is a homemaker willing to make sacrifices and ensure that her family is organized well and runs smoothly.

5) “She considereth a field, and buyeth it: With the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. She girdeth her loins with strength, And strengtheneth her arms. She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: Her candle goeth not out by night. She layeth her hands to the spindle, And her hands hold the distaff. ” Proverbs 31:16-18

The Proverbs 31 woman is not a Mediocre. She doesn’t play small in business or career. She purchases lands, builds houses, learns skills, and doesn’t quit easily.

6) “She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; Yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.” Proverbs 31:20

Hospitality, kindness and tenderness are some of the Christian woman’s strength.

7) “She is not afraid of the snow for her household: For all her household are clothed with scarlet.” Proverbs 31:21

The Christian woman should posses the understanding of times and seasons. She must know that things change and be ready for when they do.

8) “She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; Her clothing is silk and purple.” Proverbs 31:22

Elegance, class and modesty are important virtues. A Christian woman should communicate through her appearance that she is hygienic, organized, stylish and modest.

9) “Her husband is known in the gates, When he sitteth among the elders of the land.” Proverbs 31:23

Another important lesson for wives is paying attention to how her family members appear and how they behave.

10) “She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; And delivereth girdles unto the merchant.” Proverbs 31:24

We have innate abilities as women to create even with our hands and make money through our abilities.

11) “Strength and honour are her clothing; And she shall rejoice in time to come.” Proverbs 31:25

A woman of God strengthens herself by God’s Word and with God, she’s has every course to rejoice in future because even if she doesn’t know what her future holds, she knows Who holds her future.

12) “She openeth her mouth with wisdom; And in her tongue is the law of kindness.” Proverbs 31:26

Your speech is one of the ways you are identified as a Christian woman. Your speech must be graceful and seasoned with salt.

13) “She looketh well to the ways of her household, And eateth not the bread of idleness.” Proverbs 31:27

This verse emphasizes the need for a Christian woman to take charge of her household.

14) “Her children arise up, and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praiseth her.” Proverbs 31:28

The impact of a Christian woman is undeniable. Everyone around her is blessed by their association with her and they can’t help but say it.

15) “Many daughters have done virtuously, But thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: But a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; And let her own works praise her in the gates.” Proverbs 31:29-31

This verse is not to encourage comparison or unhealthy competition but to reaffirm to the godly woman that a woman that fears God need not to compare herself with others who she thinks are excelling more than she is. As long as she fears God and applies His Word, God is proud of her.
