Commanding Results: 10 Laws to Unquestionable Dominion by AJS

Commanding Results: 10 Laws to Unquestionable Dominion by AJS

In this teaching, Apostle Joshua Selman explores ten kingdom principles that help believers understand spiritual growth, personal development, and the principles that govern results in life. This article highlights the key lessons from the message and their practical applications.

Commanding results is not merely a function of prayer, desire, or favourable circumstances.

It requires spiritual alignment with God, the renewal of the mind, the acquisition of relevant understanding, and the consistent application of kingdom principles.

Grace is essential, but understanding and applying the principles of the Kingdom are also important in a believer’s journey towards dominion.

1. The Law of Priesthood — The Altar That Sustains the Throne

Key scripture: 2 Chronicles 15:12–15

The first principle is that spiritual authority must be sustained by a genuine walk with God.

Priesthood, concerns the believer’s devotion to God through prayer, the study of the Word, worship, consecration, and the fear of the Lord.

The altar represents the depth of a person’s relationship with God, while the throne represents the authority, influence, and impact expressed through that life.

Crucial points

  • Your public impact must be supported by your private devotion.

  • Prayer must become a lifestyle, not merely a response to emergencies.

  • The Word of God must shape your convictions, decisions, and conduct.

  • Consecration and the fear of God protect the integrity of your spiritual walk.

  • Consistency in your walk with God matters as much as moments of spiritual intensity.

Kingdom principle: Do not seek the throne while neglecting the altar. Lasting influence requires a foundation that can sustain it.

2. The Law of Vision — The Power of a Defined Future

Key scripture: Proverbs 29:18

Vision is the ability to perceive what ought to be and commit yourself to bringing that picture into reality. It gives direction to your life and helps you distinguish between activities that advance your assignment and those that merely consume your time.

Without vision, a person can remain busy without making meaningful progress.

Crucial points

  • Define the future you are working towards.

  • Let your vision determine your priorities.

  • Learn to say no to distractions, even when they appear attractive.

  • Concentrate your time, energy, and resources on what matters.

  • Translate vision into clear goals, practical steps, and consistent action.

Kingdom principle: Vision gives direction to your effort. When you know where you are going, you can make wiser decisions about what deserves your attention.

3. The Law of the Mind — Your Belief System Shapes Your Reality

Key scripture: Ephesians 3:20; Romans 12:2

One of the most important principles in the message is that transformation begins with the renewal of the mind. Your mindset influences what you believe is possible, the decisions you make, the opportunities you recognise, and the way you respond to challenges.

A person can pray for advancement while maintaining beliefs that continually resist growth. This is why spiritual growth must include the transformation of your thinking.

Crucial points

  • Expose your mind to the truth of God’s Word consistently.

  • Identify limiting beliefs that contradict Scripture and sound understanding.

  • Understand that ignorance is addressed through learning, not merely through prayer.

  • Build convictions from God’s Word rather than from fear, past failures, or people’s opinions.

  • Recognise that lasting change requires time, repetition, and deliberate practice.

Kingdom principle: If your thinking remains unchanged, you may continue to reproduce the same patterns even while praying for a different outcome. Let the Word of God transform the way you think, and allow that transformation to influence how you live.

4. The Law of Process — You Must Grow Into What You Are Praying For

Key scripture: Mark 4:28

The law of process establishes that meaningful growth happens in stages. The Scripture describes the progression from the blade, to the ear, and then to the full corn. Each stage contributes to the development of the final harvest.

The desire for greatness is not a substitute for the preparation required to sustain greatness.

Crucial points

  • Every level of growth has lessons that must be learned.

  • Do not despise small beginnings or the discipline of preparation.

  • Avoid comparing your stage of development with another person’s visible results.

  • Allow God to develop your character, wisdom, capacity, and competence.

  • Understand that process prepares you to carry the weight of the next level.

Kingdom principle: The process is not necessarily evidence that you have been forgotten. It can be the very preparation required to sustain what you have been asking God to give you.

Do not only pray for promotion; become prepared for its responsibilities.

5. The Law of Faith — Believe God’s Word and Respond Accordingly

Key scripture: Hebrews 11:6

Faith is more than the ability to desire a particular outcome. Biblical faith involves confidence in God, trust in His Word, and a willingness to respond in obedience to what He has revealed.

Faith must be anchored in truth. Strong conviction built on false information can still lead a person in the wrong direction.

Crucial points

  • Build your faith on the Word of God rather than assumptions or wishful thinking.

  • Let your convictions influence your decisions and actions.

  • Understand the instruction, conditions, and context surrounding God’s promises.

  • Refuse to allow fear to become the controlling influence in your life.

  • Combine trust in God with the obedience and responsibility required of you.

Kingdom principle: Faith is not simply believing that something can happen; it is trusting God enough to respond to His Word appropriately.

6. The Law of Value, Competence and Mastery — Become Equipped to Deliver Results

Key scripture: Proverbs 22:29

The message emphasises that commanding results is not simply a matter of luck. Spiritual devotion must be accompanied by the development of relevant capacity.

A person’s desire to influence a field must be matched by a willingness to learn, improve, solve problems, and become competent in that field.

Crucial points

  • Identify the skills and knowledge your assignment requires.

  • Commit yourself to continuous learning and improvement.

  • Develop mastery through deliberate practice and experience.

  • Focus on solving problems rather than merely seeking recognition.

  • Pursue excellence in your work, ministry, business, and responsibilities.

Kingdom principle: Do not merely desire to occupy a position; develop the capacity to function effectively in it.

Prayer is important, but prayer should not become an excuse for neglecting preparation, acquiring knowledge, or improving your work.

7. The Law of Honour — Understand the Power of Relationships and Access

Key scripture: Romans 12:10; 1 Peter 2:17

The message presents honour as a powerful principle in relationships, access, and the actualisation of destiny. Honour involves recognising the value of people, treating them with dignity, expressing gratitude, and relating with wisdom.

Access to people does not automatically mean you understand how to relate with them. Wisdom teaches you how to conduct yourself appropriately within different relationships and environments.

Crucial points

  • Honour God, people, and the principles you are expected to uphold.

  • Practise gratitude, including when what you receive appears small.

  • Learn to disagree respectfully without becoming rude or contemptuous.

  • Recognise the importance of mentors, leaders, teachers, and meaningful relationships.

  • Understand that access comes with responsibility, discretion, and appropriate conduct.

Kingdom principle: Where you cannot yet contribute significant value, do not contribute dishonour. Let gratitude, respect, humility, and a willingness to learn shape your relationships.

Honour is not flattery, compromise, or blind obedience. It is the ability to recognise value and respond with wisdom.

8. The Law of Seasons — Learn How to Navigate Different Phases of Life

Key scripture: Ecclesiastes 3:1

Life is governed by times and seasons. Not every season presents the same opportunities, demands the same response, or produces the same visible results.

Wisdom is required to recognise the nature of a season and respond appropriately rather than using the wrong strategy at the wrong time.

Crucial points

  • Recognise that seasons change, including seasons of difficulty.

  • Learn the lessons available in your present circumstances.

  • Do not assume that one strategy will work equally well in every season.

  • Prepare during seasons of relative ease for responsibilities that may come later.

  • Remain faithful when results are not yet visible.

Kingdom principle: You may not control every season, but you can develop the wisdom and discipline required to navigate it.

The objective is not merely to enjoy favourable seasons. It is to develop the capacity to remain fruitful through changing circumstances.

9. The Law of Service — Greatness Is Expressed Through Impact

Key scripture: Mark 10:43–45

The message identifies service as a pathway to greatness. In the Kingdom, leadership is not merely about position, recognition, or the authority to give instructions. It is about taking responsibility, meeting needs, and becoming a blessing to others.

A person who continually seeks what they can gain may overlook the opportunities available through what they can contribute.

Crucial points

  • Develop a genuine desire to meet needs and serve others.

  • Focus on making a meaningful contribution rather than merely building a reputation.

  • Learn to lead yourself before attempting to lead others.

  • Exercise discipline over your emotions, attitudes, and conduct.

  • Understand that effective leadership requires a servant’s heart.

Kingdom principle: Do not merely ask, “Where can I be promoted?” Ask, “What can I contribute, what problem can I solve, and whose life can I make better?”

The greatest expression of leadership is not the number of people serving you, but the value of the people and responsibilities entrusted to your care.

10. The Law of Seedtime and Harvest — Your Actions Are Seeds

Key scripture: Galatians 6:7–9

The message concludes with the law of seedtime and harvest. The principle is that our actions, attitudes, words, and choices have consequences. What we repeatedly sow influences the kind of harvest we are likely to experience.

Kindness is a seed. Love is a seed. Wickedness is a seed. The same principle applies to diligence, dishonesty, discipline, generosity, and neglect.

Crucial points

  • Recognise that your daily choices are shaping future outcomes.

  • Sow diligence, integrity, kindness, discipline, and generosity.

  • Understand that repeated habits can produce long-term consequences.

  • Be willing to change destructive patterns when you recognise them.

  • Remain patient, because sowing and harvesting do not always happen at the same time.

Kingdom principle: When you discover that you have been sowing the wrong seeds, do not continue repeating the same actions while expecting a different harvest. Begin to sow differently.

Past mistakes may have consequences, but they do not have to determine every future decision. Repentance, changed behaviour, and consistent right choices can establish a new pattern.

You must move beyond hearing principles to understanding and practising them.

Spiritual growth requires devotion to God; transformation requires the renewal of the mind; vision requires focus; greatness requires process; and lasting impact requires competence, honour, service, and wise choices.

These principles do not mean that every outcome is guaranteed on our preferred timetable or that every difficulty results from personal failure.

Rather, they provide a framework for living with spiritual depth, wisdom, responsibility, and consistency.

The ultimate objective is not merely to achieve visible success, but to become a person whose character, spiritual life, understanding, and capacity can sustain meaningful results and bring glory to God.
