BIBLE TEXT: John 19:9-15
[9]And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.
[10]Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?
[11]Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
[12]And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar’s friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.
[13]When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.
[14]And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
[15]But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

Quick Recap Of The Theme For Last Year
LESSON AIM: To teach the Teen that God is Love and the actual love that He want us to have.

STUDY GUIDE: What is love?
(Teenagers to response and give examples of how they have shown or received love).
Love is an intense feelings of deep affection. Love is not visible but it manifest in our words and actions. Let’s look at 4 out of the many types of love.
1. Storge/Familiar love: It is liking someone through the fondness of familiarity. An example is the love between parents and their children.
2. Phileo/Affectionate Love*: This is the love between friends and is the most general type of love in scripture, encompassing love for fellow humans, care, respect and compassion for people in need.
3. Ero/Romantic Love*: This is sexual or passionate love. This love is limited to married couples.
4. Agape/Unconditional Love: This is the love that exists regardless of changing circumstances. This is the love that God has for us.
ATTRIBUTES OF LOVE
1. Love is Patient. Ephesians 4:2
2. Love is kind. 1 John 4:20
3. Love does not envy. Romans 13:10
4. Love is not proud. Romans 12:10
5. It is not rude. Romans 12:9-10
6.It is not selfish. 1 Corinthians 10:24; Hebrews 13 1-2

11. It is sacrificial. 1 Corinthians 13:5
DISCUSSION: How can you express love in relating with others especially when they seem though or unlovable? 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.
APPLICATION/INVITATION: Every true love comes from God. As you spend time abiding in God’s presence, you’ll begin to grow in your love walk with your siblings, friends and everyone around you.
You’ll be able to forgive easily, but it is only a person who has a relationship with God as His Father that can abide and enjoy true love. If you don’t believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins because He loves you, now is the time to repent, confess Him as your Lord and personal Saviour today.
CONCLUSION: There has a general misconception of love and lust. Love can only be properly understood from the stand point of God’s love for us. The more we open up to receive the love of God for us, the more we can enjoy the free of love the from us to everyone around. For someone to love God, he or she must also loves the same thing He loves and seek to honour Him in this way.
