INTRODUCTION:
There are many portions of the Bible where believers are admonished to praise the Lord in singing (Psalm 95:1) and dancing (Psalm 149:3), with clapping (Psalm 47:1), with the use of musical instruments (Psalm 150:1-6; Ephesians 5:19) and in the Holy Spirit (1Corinthians 14:15).
In addition, believers must also learn to rejoice always (1Thessalonians 5:16; Philippians 4:4).
LESSON OUTLINES
1. All day long and evermore
2. In all circumstances till eternity
ALL DAY LONG AND EVERMORE
The merciful God is so mindful of man that He visits him every morning (Job 7:18-19; Ps. 8:4).
It is only wise, therefore, that such special love and concern should be immediately reciprocated with rejoicing (adoration, worship and singing).
In the morning (Ps. 59:16), In the day time. (Ps. 42:8), In the evening (Ps. 134:1) All day long. (Ps. 89:16), Believers must rejoice as long as there is life (Ps. 34:1; 104:33)
IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES TILL ETERNITY
God has not called the believer into a life of shame, trouble and confusion (Jeremiah 29:11; 3John 2).
However, it is not impossible for believers to face challenges once in a while. Therefore, in all situations or circumstances, God commands ‘the work of His hands’ to praise Him (1Thess. 5:18).
Whether in fire or deep waters, God promises to be with the believer (Isaiah 43:1-3). He will be there in famine, persecution, imprisonment, poverty, loss and fiery trials.
His command is that His name is to be praised always (2Corinthians 6:10; 1Peter 4:12-13; John 16:33).
Whatever rejoicing or praise/worship rendered to God in this world is a child’s play compared to what operates in Heaven, where there is no measuring of time.
The heavenly language is the language of worship only- HALLELUJAH. This is what the angels say in Heaven as they worship the Ancient of Days, the Holy One in His Majesty and glory (Luke 2:13-14; Revelations 5:11-12; Revelations 7:11-12).
When Christians make it to Heaven and the lost glory is restored, the saints without doubt shall have new songs, if only to praise the Rock of their salvation (Revelations 19:1-7).
CONCLUSION
Your present situation is not without the knowledge of the All-knowing God. God is surely greater than the situation.
The Holy Spirit is reminding you today to rejoice always, because this may be the only weapon against your predicament.
