RCCG JUNIOR ZEAL FOR AGE 13-15 MANUAL 23 MARCH 2025
LESSON THIRTY (30)
TOPIC: OBEDIENCE
BIBLE TEXT: Deuteronomy 28:1, Ephesians 6:1-3, James 1:22-25, Matthew 7:24-27.
Deuteronomy 28:1
[1]And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
Ephesians 6:1-3
[1]Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
[2]Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
[3]That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
James 1:22-25
[22]But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
[23]For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
[24]For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
[25]But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Matthew 7:24-27
[24]Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
[25]And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
[26]And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
[27]And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
MEMORY VERSE: “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandment: for this is the whole duty of man”. Ecclesiastes 12:13.
CENTRAL TRUTH: Holiness equal complete obedience, partial obedience equals disobedience.
INTRODUCTION: Obedience is the act of abiding by instructions or rules and regulations. It encompasses a readiness to follow authority, regulations, or orders. One way by which we can prove to God that we love Him is by obeying Him. Our love for God is shown in how we live our lives.
