RCCG JUNIOR ZEAL FOR AGE 13-15 MANUAL 19 JANUARY 2024
SUNDAY 19TH OF JANUARY, 2024
LESSON TWENTY-ONE (21)
TOPIC: WHO ARE YOU?
BIBLE TEXTS: 1 Peter 2:9, Genesis 1:26-27.
1 Peter 2:9
[9]But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Genesis 1:26-27
[26]And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
[27]So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
MEMORY VERSE: Genesis 1:26 – “And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth”.
CENTRAL TRUTH: In Christ you are an amazing gift to the whole world.
INTRODUCTION: We have a lot of teenagers suffering from identity crisis because they do not recognize their identity in Christ; they are easily tossed and turned by the wiles of the devil and the vices of society. God did not create you to be weak or confused, neither are you supposed to allow situations, circumstances or people determine who you are. God created you to dominate and rule the earth but you cannot rule over anything if you do not have an understanding of your identity, authority and heritage in Him, as well as the very essence of His person to you. God is not only our Lord, He is our Father too, and He loves us unconditionally.
