TOPIC: FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT
MEMORY VERSE: Ephesians 5:9 – “For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.”
BIBLE TEXT: Galatians 5:22-26
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
INTRODUCTION: The fruit of the Spirit is the result of the infilling of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. It makes us conform to the image of Jesus Christ. People can readily see a new character that is of God´s nature in us, which is in contrast to the sinful nature.

1. It helps you to conform to the image of Christ.
2. It makes you to build a godly character.
3. Without them you cannot see God.
4. It makes unbelievers to know that you are really a Christian.
5. It is an effective way of evangelism through your conduct.
6. It makes you to be a fruitful Christian.
LIFE APPLICATION: The fruit of the Spirit will help you to live above the sinful nature.
CONCLUSION: A life that is not bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit is yet to be conformed to the image of Christ.
INVITATION: For you to bear the fruit of the Spirit, you must first accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. This fruit is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. When you want the Holy Spirit to work in you there is no way without Jesus.
