TOPIC: LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE THROUGH DILIGENCE
MEMORY VERSE: Proverbs 22:29 –Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
BIBLE TEXT: Genesis 26:1
1 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.
CENTRAL TRUTH: Diligence maketh richProverbs 10:4
INTRODUCTION: When there was a famine in the land, God advised Isaac to dwell in the land of Gerar. He obeyed God and was richly blessed to the extent that people of the land were envious of him. Isaak did his work diligently. – Slothfulness is the opposite of diligence – Proverbs 12:27

LIFE APPLICATION: Ecclesiastes 9:10 says whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might: for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going. For you not to live a life of dependence, you must be diligent – Proverbs 12:24
CONCLUSION: Hard work is a virtue that is pleasing God. God is hardworking and the Lord Jesus Christ demonstrated hard work when He was in the flesh. As a child of God, you should also equally be diligent in all things. The soul of the diligent shall be made fat – Proverbs 13:4
INVITATION: If you want to prosper in whatever you do you must give your life to Jesus Christ – Romans 10:13
