OPENING PRAYER: Holy Spirit, my Friend, please lead me through the journey of life flawless and fulfilling
PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: The leaders should remind the members on the need to embrace king’s business with urgency and total commitment.
MEMORY VERSE: “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.” John 14:16
BIBLE TEXT: John 14:26-27
[26]But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
[27]Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
LESSON INTRODUCTION: The Holy Spirit is the third person in Trinity. Just like we have God the Father, God the Son, we also have God the Holy Spirit and He has the same power, the same glory. He is NOT a lesser God. The Holy Spirit Is a gift from God the Son (Jesus Christ) John 14:26. The Holy Spirit comes to indwell us the moment we give our lives to Christ and He becomes our partner and friend if we permit. He is also referred to as the Comforter, Helper, Spirit of Truth, Spirit of Grace, Spirit of God, The Breath of God, The Revealer, Teacher
LESSON AIM: To make members understand the PERSON OF HOLY SPIRIT AS A DEPENDABLE PARTNER AND LOVING FRIEND.
TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to;
* Know Holy Spirit as a Friend indeed.
* Know benefits of befriending the Holy Spirit.
TEXT REVIEW: John 14:26-27
a) Holy Spirit, the Comforter shall teach us all things.
b) He also will remind us everything spoken by God the Father.
c) Jesus Christ has handed over His peace to us.
d) There is no room to be troubled or be afraid.
LESSON OUTLINE ONE: HOLY SPIRIT A FRIEND INDEED
The holy Spott a friend who loves and cares for us unconditionally and is willing to stand byus at all times not because He needs something from us but wants us to give what we need
Jesus Christ through the Father sent the Holy Spirit to us, to comfort, teach, guide, help, reveal and give gifts.
LESSON OUTLINE TWO: BENEFITS OF BEFRIENDING THE HOLY SPIRIT
a. He gives power and security
b. He gives peace
c. He helps us to do the will of God.
d. He help our infirmity in the place of prayers.
e. He gives us the fruit and the gifts of the Spirit.
f. He guides us to conform to divine principles.
g. He ushers us to throne of grace to obtain mercy
SUMMARY: God the Holy Spirit should always dwell in us.
CONCLUSION: The Holy Spirit is the best friend we can ever have because Man is limited and God is unlimited. Befriend Him today, forever and you will be glad you did.

THURSDAY: Pray for divine help to cure all manner of our infirmity.
FRIDAY: He gives us the fruit and the gifts of the Spirit.
SATURDAY: Let your Spirit guides us to conform to divine principles.
SUNDAY: God will usher serious believers to throne of grace to obtain merc/y
