LESSON OUTLINE ONE
WHAT IS REPENTANCE?
1. To repent is to have a change of mind, a change of heart or a change of direction.
2. It is like a driver going in a wrong direction who suddenly realizes his error, make a U-turn and faces the right direction. The prodigal son who abandoned his farther in Luke15:17-21 changed his mind and returned to the father.
3. To repent is to turn away from sin and turn to righteousness.
Zacchaeus repented of his sinful ways and Jesus confirmed that salvation had come into his house. Luke 19:8-9
4. To repent is to turn away from serving the devil and letting Jesus Christ become the master. Saul the persecutor of the church – Act 8:3, repented and became Paul the servant of Jesus Christ. Romans 1:1

This is therefore important for genuine Christians and believers to attend to this fact; for without this, the sin is not forgiven no matter how long you pray and fast. Because it is clearly part of true repentance and salvation. Luke 19:9

TEXT REVIEW: EXODUS 22:1-5
i. Restitution adverts God’s wrath.

LESSON OUTLINE ONE
REPENTANCE INVOLVES RESTITUTION
Restitution is restoring or giving back to another person or people that which we have unjustly taken away. If we have deprived others of some material or anything, we must then return those things back or the value of whatever it is. Either intangible or not, every effort must be made to remove the curse of the wrong upon our he if indeed we have genuinely repented. Proverbs 26:11, Luke 19:9-10, 2 Corinthians 7:10-11.

LESSON OUTLINE TWO
BENEFITS OF RESTITUTION
Just as anyone who fails to restitute his/her ways before God and even the man who is wronged or offended; there are still blessings for us if we can yield to do the needful and the blessings are however numerous. They include the following:
1. Divine restoration of the things returned. God will return it back and it shall be in form of blessings unto the one restituted.
2. Prayer of blessings unto you, from the person who was wronged and robbed. Judges 17:1-2

CONCLUSION: Undone restitution gives satan chance and opportunity to accuse and oppose you in the presence of God. And you being under curse from the one you have wronged, the problems with which satan will oppose you will just simply and easily come to pass EXCEPT this needful (RESTITUTION) is correctly done. A word is enough for the available wise.

The perfection of God’s law and it’s justice demands necessitates the provision of the solution in Jesus Christ who volunteered to live a righteous life and die a sinners death so that His own righteousness could then be imputed as a gift to everyone who believes in Him.

Two major things are included in justification:

They are all Christ-like virtues that we are supposed to exhibit in increasing measures as we relate with God and the people around us – family, work, church, neighbourhood, in public etc. They are not somewhere we put on and put off when we like or not.

LESSON INTRODUCTION: There is a lot of difference between natural talents and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are special gifts given by the Spirit to believers to equip them for the work of the ministry and build up the body of Christ and God’s Kingdoms. SHOULD WE DESIRE THE GIFTS?
The answer is given in 1 Corinthians 12:31. We are not just to desire them; we are to covet them. This is only covetousness that have divine blessing. Do not be satisfied with just one or two gifts. Seek and pray for others that will help you in the particular position He has given you in the body. In the parable of the talents, the man who was originally given five gained five more and the unused one was given to him as extra. He ended up with eleven talents. Initially, you may have one or two gifts. Try and identify them and then keep on seeking for more to use for His glory.

LESSON OUTLINE THREE:
WHAT SHOULD BE DONE WITH THE GIFTS?
We are to use any gift given to us, 1 Timothy 4:14, some people hide their gifts because they consider them inferior to others. This can be very dangerous as the parable of talents shows. Not only, are we to use the gifts, we are also to improve on them, 2 Timothy 1:6. The gifts need constant usage to be advantageous to the Kingdom of God.
