He will teach us his ways,so that we may walk in His paths” Isaiah 2:3. But as at the time of prophesy was given by Isaiah, Jerusalem was no longer the city sought after as in the days of Solomon when queen sheba came all the way to prophesy was later given in Isaiah 62:1-12 that, just as Jerusalem, having been despoiled of her beauty by her enemies, and for a long time was forsaken and unworthy to be called a city desired to be visited by men, her glory shall return and shall be attraction to all lands, and the joyful of the whole earths; no longer given up to the invasion of the enemy. That is what the Lord promised, that she shall be sought, that is, a special object of God’s care and a city not forsake, the very opposite of her former name which was forsaken.

Just as Paul was and even as Jesus was.
LESSON FIFTEEN (15)*
*TOPIC: A DAY WITHOUT PRAYER WEAKENS YOUR CHRISTIAN FIRE.*
*BIBLE TEXT: DANIEL 6:1-11*
*MEMORY VERSE:* “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” Luke 18:1.

Prayer is a staff a Christian needs to move with God. It a lifeline of Christianity. Any Christian without the staff of prayer is in a great danger. It is dangerous to be far from God or to be disconnected from Him because the devil will so much deal with such a person (Ephesians 4:7). When we are hot and on fire for God the devil watches us from a far distance, he dares not disturb, but he never relents. This is why it crucial that we maintain our prayer life. A life of consistent daily prayer is a weapon to keep us off the radar of the devil. Jesus admonish His disciples to watch and pray so that they won’t fall into temptation. Luke 2:20.

6. Prayerlessness withdraw the presence of God. ( Jeremiah 15:6).
*SUMMARY:* prayer is the key to God and weapon for the believer.
*CONCLUSION:* Note that the death in your prayer life is a call for celebration in the kingdom of darkness because you are now vulnerable, that the Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to pray without ceasing. Be vigilant (1 Peter 5:8)

[15]Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:* God has no abandoned projects, no matter the challenges on the way, His projects will alway experience great finishing, completion and branding. He has not abandoned any of His divine plans, dreams, revelations and visions for your life as long as you continue to walk in His ways (Zechariah 3:7). You are His project, prepared and waiting to be ceremoniously unveiled for
the world to see.

*LESSON INTRODUCTION:* It is one thing to start a race and it is another thing to finish it. While it is a great thing to finish the race, it is glorious to finish with joy. It is also exciting and relatively easy to get married, staying in the marriage through the struggles, adjustments and trials is not always an easy (Matthew 10:22). God wants us to be faithful unto the very
*LESSON OUTLINES*
SOME BIBLE CHARACTERS WHO FINISHED POORLY:
1. King Solomon started his reign in wholehearted devotion to God, but the latter part of his life was marked by compromise and disobedience.1Kings 11:6-11.
2. King Joash, ungrateful leader started well but ended poorly. 2King 12:17-21
3. Eli, towards the end of his life compromised and wouldn’t correct his children. 1Samuel 2:12-36
4. Gideon won a great battle for God, towards the end of his life, he compromised for money and power and he was rejected. Judges 8:22-28
5. King Saul started well as God chosen King for His people until disobedience robbed him of his crown. 1Samuel 15:1-11
To finish the race well means to walk with God personally to the end of our lives, to make contributions to God’s work with our time, talents and treasures, and to leave a heritage and children who will continue the work of God.
SOME BIBLE CHARACTERS WHO FINISHED WELL:
1. Job: He went through every type of personal suffering possible and even in all this suffering, Job said nothing against God. Job 2:9-10.
2. Joshua: He made everyone to serve the Lord all his days. Joshua 24:29-31. He testified in Joshua 24:15 that “but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
3. Daniel: He purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the royal food and wine in Daniel 1:8. He was thrown into the lion’s den because he continued to pray to his God against the express command of the King in Daniel 6 and God sent His angel to shut the mouths of the lions.
4. Paul: With all his trials and sufferings, at the end of his life, he said “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept my faith: Henceforth there is laid for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing” 2Timothy 4:7-8.
*SUMMARY:* You will finish well.
*CONCLUSION:* For the wise men, the race started when they saw the star but for the rest of us, it starts we surrendered our lives to Jesus. This race is a race that will be run for a life time with his finishing line in Heaven. It is great to start the race but the reward comes from finishing strong. The race you have started on earth the day you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, may you finish it in Heaven in Jesus Name.
LESSON EIGHTEEN(18)*
*TOPIC: DECODING SPIRITUAL SIGNALS*
*BIBLE TEXT: GENESIS 24:1-20.*
*MEMORY VERSE:* “But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil “. Hebrews 5:14
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:* Created in the image of God, humans are spirit beings. We have a body with which to relate with the terrestrial world, but our lives are controlled by constant interplay between the spiritual and the physical. John 4:24 says God is Spirit, hence His relations with us would be with our spirits. Oftentimes, we miss important information because our spirit is out of tune or we are simply insensitive to the prompting of the Spirit that comes to us as spiritual signals. May God open our understanding and spiritual senses in Jesus name.
*LESSON OUTLINES*
EXAMPLES OF THOSE WHO DECODED SPIRITUAL SIGNALS
On the way to Italy, as recorded in Acts 21, Apostle Paul picked a signal from the heavenlies of the hazardous trip they were about to embark on. He warned the people but they did not listen. Acts 27:10-11
I. The Wise Men from the East {Mt 2:2,9-10} saw a special Star, decoded the signal and they were able to read God’s mind concerning the birthplace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
II. Abraham’s oldest servant and Rebecca in Gen 24:12-22. The servant coded spiritually and Rebecca, through the leading of the Spirit of God, decoded perfectly and at the end the servant was able to discern Rebecca as the divine wife for Isaac.
III. Jacob, on the way to Haran, saw a revelation in Bethel and was able to decode that. “……Surely The Lord, is in this place…” Gen 28:16
IV. Elizabeth in Luke 1:40-45, experienced a leap for joy of her baby at the salutation of Mary, the mother of Jesus.
V. In Job 4:12-15, the sage perceived the presence of a spirit being
VI. It was the perception of the Shunnamite woman of Elisha as a holy man of God that guaranteed her safety from famine and saved her from barrenness. 2Kgs 4: 8-10.
OUR CHALLENGE?
There is an electronic device known as “Digital Satellite Receiver” It means there must be a tool to decode satellite signal. Even if your house shares boundary with a broadcasting station, without such decoder/receiver, you cannot benefit from their broadcast. This equally applies to radio signals, if your radio set is faulty, you will not be able to listen to radio broadcast. Has sin made you lose contact with the heavenly signals? What type of spiritual decoder are you? Analogue or Digital receiver. Can you code as Abraham’s servant into the spiritual and God will back you up?
The Digital satellite Receiver is much higher and sharper in performance than the analogue. We need to sharpen our discernment and strive to be better receivers and decoders of spiritual signals.
*SUMMARY:* Gods ways are through signs and wonders
*CONCLUSION:* There are many signals in the atmosphere, spiritual and non-spiritual. We must wait on the Lord in Holiness, Purity, Prayer and Fasting to be able to decode His signals which abound in the spiritual realm. May God guide us in Jesus’ name
LESSON NINETEEN(19)*
*TOPIC: MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED THE HOUSE OF PRAYER*
*BIBLE TEXT: MATTHEW 21:12-17*
*MEMORY VERSE:* “And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.” Matthew 21:13.
LESSON INTRODUCTION: Prayer is the intimate communication with our father in heaven, it is the channel God has chosen for all his blessings to come into the life of His children. Satan dread nothing but prayer. His one concern is to keep the saints from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless person, but trembles when we pray. A house of prayer is a dwelling place of God. A place where a community of believers abide in perfect communion and intimacy with the One they call their Lord. Jesus declared that God’s house is not a market place, it is for calling on the Lord, that is, the atmosphere of God’s house is to be for prayer. It was Isaiah 56:6-7 that Jesus referenced when He cleansed the temple, Matthew 21:1-13, Mark 11:15-17 and Luke 19:45-46.
*LESSON OUTLINES:*
WHAT WAS JESUS REFERRING TO AS A HOUSE OF PRAYER ?
1. A building designed by God himself. 1 Chronicles 28.
2. A place designed by God sacrifices, offerings and prayer. Isaiah 56:7.
3. A dwelling declared by God to be where Gd would meet with His people. 2 Chronicles 7:15-16.
CONSEQUENCES OF A PRAYERLESS HOUSE OF GOD ARE:
1. Little joy.
2. No outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
3. No experience of brokenness, repentance and humility in the life of the church.
4. No power to convert souls.
5. No burden to win souls.
6. No revival
7. Little evidence of brokenhearted, willing service.
*SUMMARY:* God’s house should be a place of prayer not a market place.
*CONCLUSION:*
The Spirit of God is speaking the same words to us today. He is calling us to examine what we do in the house of God, whether good or bad, we should return to Him and join the army who are preparing the way for His return.
LESSON TWENTY (20)*
*TOPIC: GOD IS WATCHING YOU*
*BIBLE TEXT: Proverbs 5:21-23, Psalm 33:13-15*
*MEMORY VERSE:* “For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his goings.” Proverbs 5:21
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:* When God says he’s watching us, it is a reason to be both careful and joyful. we should not foolishly think that, because our parent or pastors don’t know about the sinful things we are doing, we are going to get away with them. God knows.
*LESSON OUTLINES:*
GOD IS WATCHING US FOR SEVERAL GOOD REASONS:
i. He is watching us whether we do good or evil. Proverbs 15:3
ii. He is watching us to see every step we take. Job 31:4, Job 34:21
iii. He is watching us to give strength to those whose hearts are loyal to Him. 2 Chronicles 16:9
iv. He watches us everywhere and knows what we are doing Psalm 11:4
v. He knows our hearts. Psalm 17:33
vi. He searches our minds and tests our hearts and treat each of them according to the way we live and what we do. Jeremiah
17:10
vii. He rewards us according to our actions. Jeremiah 32:19, Psalm 62:12
viii. Nothing is hidden from Him. Psalm 139:1-12, Hebrew 4:13
*SUMMARY:* God is watching us, so we should live a life of holiness.
*CONCLUSION:* God knows everything about us, He knows our failures and our successes. He knows our good deed and our sins, but He chooses to be merciful to us, therefore, we must not abuse His Grace.
Romans 6:1-2 says “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God Forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?”
LESSON TWENTY ONE (21)*
*TOPIC: LET THERE BE LIGHT*
*BIBLE TEXT: MATTHEW 5: 14-16*
*MEMORY VERSE:* “And the light shineth in the darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:5
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:* Light is an important element created by God and it’s one of the essential in life. It was created at every beginning of the world. The Bible says in Genesis 1:2-3, that though darkness came forth first but this was not what God wanted in existence. God did not allow this to exist, He then spoke what was in his mind and that was light, then light came into existence, till this presence moment this light never goes off. Also, Jesus calls the believers in him “the light of the world” according to our today’s Bible text. The question is, are we really shinning the light in the dark world?
*LESSON OUTLINES:*
THE CALLED OUT.
As we discussed above, God called forth the light we are enjoying today out of darkness. More so, 1Peter 2:9 tells us that God has called all Christians out of darkness into His marvelous light. The way God spoke and the light came to be. He has called us light, so we are to shine this light in the world.
SHINE THE LIGHT
Isaiah 60:1says ” Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee”. We are to arise to arise and shine forth the light that is already been deposited in us without any further delay. Because the more we hide or refuse to shine this light the more darkness progresses or expands.
WHERE SHOULD WE SHINE THE LIGHT?
1. In our place of work.
2. In our business places.
3. In our neighbourhood.
4. In the entire world. Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15-18
*SUMMARY:* We are the light of the world.
*CONCLUSION:* “LET THERE BE LIGHT” is a command not an advice. Also, this is a heart I deposited in you the day you accepted me as your Lord and Saviour. please don’t hide your light any longer.
LESSON TWENTY TWO (22)*
*TOPIC: AVIODING ABRAHAM’S IMPATIENCE*
*BIBLE TEXT: GENESIS 15:1-5, 16:1-6.*
*MEMORY VERSE*: “Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.” Romans 15:14.
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:* Patience is a great virtue. The expectations of God on the believers concerning this is high. Therefore anyone who claims to believe in God and hope to receive anything from Him must distance himself/herself from impatience. Abraham our father of faith, according to Romans 4:3 made this mistake in his walk with God. Our second Bible text maintains that he went jn with his wife’s housemaid and she gave birth to a son – Ishmael instead of waiting for the promised son – Isaac. So Ishmael came out of Abraham’s impatience.
*LESSON OUTLINES:*
CAUSES OF IMPATIENCE
i. When someone is desperate. Hebrews 12:1.
ii. Peer pressure.
iii. Competitive life.
iv. Greediness. Jude 1:11.
BENEFITS OF BEING PATIENT.
i. God promises become real. Genesis 21:1-3.
ii. You will overlook those who were impatient.
iii. You will become a point of positive reference.
iv. Honour becomes your portion. 1Sam.2:30.
*SUMMARY:* It is better to be patient than been impatient.
*CONCLUSION:* Today’s memory verse is a food for thought in that we can avoid the impatience of our father of faith – Abraham and others in the Bible. But for the mercies of God, Abraham would have missed the plan of God for his life and his generation. However, that Abraham singular impatience is the cause of today’s insurgency and restiveness.
LESSON TWENTY THREE (23)*
*TOPIC: LOT’S WIFE PART ONE*
*BIBLE TEXT: GENESIS 19:17-26.*
*MEMORY VERSE:* “Remember lot’s wife”.Luke 17:32
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:* The story of Lot is quite incredible one. The Bible says he left with Abraham when God called him(Abraham) out of his country. Lot later separated from his uncle (Abraham) and went to live in Sodom and Gomorrah with his wife and his two daughters. Sodom and Gomorrah sinned against God and God decided to wipe of the entire city from the surface of the earth. As God did not spare this country, He will not do otherwise to the generation according to Jesus Christ in Matthew 10:15 “Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.”
*LESSON OUTLINES:*
GOD HAD DESTROYED GENERATION OR COUNTRY BEFORE
1. Noah’s generation was destroyed. Genesis 6:7-13.
In this generation, they began to disobey all the laid down instructions of God. Jesus mentioned this during His ministry on earth Matthew 24:37-39.
2. Sodom and Gomorrah was also destroyed. 2 Peter 2:6. As we have seen in the introduction above, no country will escape the full wrath of God.
ANY ESCAPE ROUTE ?
1. There is always a way out of sin from God. 2 Chronicles 7:14. God expects everyone to repent from their evil ways. And embrace the remedy put in place by him(God). And Jesus is this remedy to this perverse generation. John 3:17-18.
*SUMMARY:* As believers we should be obedient to God’s instructions, So that we don’t end up our life like lot’s wife.
*CONCLUSION:* Sodom and Gomorrah did not escape God’s punishment for sin. It will not be otherwise for this generation.
LESSON TWENTY FOUR (24)*
*TOPIC: LOT’S WIFE PART TWO*
*BIBLE TEXT: GENESIS 19:17-26.*
*MEMORY VERSE:* “Remember lot’s wife”. Luke 17:32
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:* Last week we started the series “LOT’S WIFE”, today we are going to examine what happened to lot’s wife. From today’s Bible text, God sent His Angels to sodom and Gomorrah, the men of the city demanded that Lot should hand over the Angels to them so that they could have carnal knowledge of them (homosexuality). Little did they know that the Angels were there to destroy the city. The Angels told Lot to escape with his family and that none of them should look back. However, Lot’s wife looked back from behind him and she became a pillar of salt. Gen.19:26.
*LESSON OUTLINES:*
DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS OR WORDS AND ITS REPERCUSIONS.
Right from the time immemorial, disobedience to any instruction that comes from God always has its consequence. For example, after God created man (Adam), He gave him instruction not to eat the fruit at the middle of the garden when he and his wife disobeyed, they were made to face the consequence. Genesis 3:1-7.
PEOPLE THAT DISOBEYED GOD’S INSTRUCTION AND FACED THE CONSEQUENCE.
1. King Saul refuse to follow God’s instruction completely. God rejected him from continuing as a king. 1Sam. 15: 16-23.
2. Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites receive their freedom, God buried in the Red Sea. Exodus 14:27-28.
3. Lot’s wife was told not to look back she refused and became a pillar of salt. Genesis 19:23-26.
4. Ananias and his wife Sapphire lied, and they were killed by the Holy Spirit. Act.5:3-10
*SUMMARY:* It is better to be obedient to God’s instructions than to face the consequence.
*CONCLUSION:* Whatsoever you are doing either as a Christian or an unbeliever, please remember what happened to Lot’s wife.
LESSON TWENTY FIVE (25)*
*TOPIC: GREAT THINGS CAN STILL COME OUT OF NAZARETH*
*BIBLE TEXT: JOHN 1:45-49*
*MEMORY VERSE:* “And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Phillip saith unto him, Come and see”. John 1:46
*LESSON INTRODUCTION:* After the death of Samson as Nazarene in Judge 16:31, Nazareth became byword. The statement of Nathanael in today’s memory verse is a pointer to this fact. However, when His (Jesus) parents bought Him back from Egypt, they settled in Nazareth, Matthew 2:23. On this note, Jesus Christ became a Nazarene and Nazareth was prominent again. Even if there is nothing to write home about you, your family or town, from now on Phillip’s response to Nathanael “Come and see”; greatness will be your portion.
*LESSON OUTLINES:*
TOWNS OR CITIES THAT WERE NOT RECKONED WITHOUT BEENGOD MADE THEM GREAT.
1. BETHLEHEM: “And thou bethlehem, inthr land of Judah, art not least among the Princeof Judah: for the of thee shall come a Gover, that shall rule my people Israel”. Matthew 2:6
2. SAMARIA: John 4:49-40, Acts 8:5-8; “And there was a great joy in that city”. Acts8:8.
3. ZION: 2 Sam.6-7 “Nevertheless Daivd took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of Daivd” 2 Sam.5:7″.
WHAT HAVE BROUGHT THE CHANGES?
The above cities and towns that had positive turn around had contact with the destiny Changer Himself – Jesus Christ. while others received changes because the people whose destinies were transformed went back to the place. Joshua 1:3 “Every place that the sole of your foot shall trend upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses”.
*SUMMARY:* Great things will come out of our Nazareth.
*CONCLUSION:* No city or town that associates itself with Christ can end up in crisis. Therefore, like Nazareth that received the Lord Jesus Christ. Any city or town that allows Christ into their land through the Gospel being preached to them, GREAT THINGS WILL BE FOUND THERE.
