TOPIC: GO VIEW THE LAND

OPENING PRAYER: Father, please open my eyes to numerous advantages around me.
PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: The leaders should remind the members on reasons believers are to follow as the GOOD SHEPHERD.
MEMORY VERSE: “As Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim, two men to spy secretly saying, go view the land, even Jericho. And they went and came into an house named Rahab, and lodged there” Joshua 2:1
BIBLE TEXT: Joshua 2:1-9
[1]And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot’s house, named Rahab, and lodged there.
[2]And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, there came men in hither to night of the children of Israel to search out the country.
[3]And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab, saying, Bring forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered into thine house: for they be come to search out all the country.
[4]And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were:
[5]And it came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them.
[6]But she had brought them up to the roof of the house, and hid them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order upon the roof.
[7]And the men pursued after them the way to Jordan unto the fords: and as soon as they which pursued after them were gone out, they shut the gate.
[8]And before they were laid down, she came up unto them upon the roof;
[9]And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.
LESSON INTRODUCTION: In preparation to enter the land of Canaan, Joshua and his people were faced with obstacles far above their abilities. One of these is the fortified city of Jericho, into which Joshua sent two men to spy.
LESSON AIM: To make members understand the provision of God for believers to possess their rights and privileges.
TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to;
1. Get all necessary inputs in getting access to their possessions.
2. Know that possessing your right gives you rest.
TEXT REVIEW: Joshua 2:1-9
◆ Before you can be enhanced, you must be assigned.
◆ To every difficult assignment, there maximum assistance. Vs 1-3
◆ There may be evil device to subjugate divine purpose, but God will invalidate all evil processes.
◆ Every intention of God put all adversaries into detention of fear.
LESSON OUTLINE ONE: READY ΤΟ POSSESS
1) God has prepared the land of Canaan for Joshua and children of Israel to possess just as He swore to their fore fathers, so has He set before us Christians the entire world to possess for Christ. Deut.1:7-8
2) It is the will of God who owns the land and its resources for us to possess it like He gave Canaan to Israel of old. Psalm 24:1
3) It is a confirmation of the promises of God for us which are Yea and Amen in Christian Jesus. 1 cor. 1:20
4) God has commanded and given us the talents we need to take ownership/possession of the land and occupy till He comes, so we should not lose the ground to take enemy. Luke 19:13.
5) It is time for us to dispossess illegal occupant by depopulating the kingdom of darkness and expanding God’s kingdom here on erath. Matthew 6:33
6) If you are ready, God will go before you to give and back up your plans and help you to possess every territory/land the sole of your feet steps upon. Deut.11:22-25
LESSON OUTLINE TWO: IT IS YOUR PLACE OF REST.
a) The land God has promised us to possess is a place our abilities cannot possess without His help.
b) It is an awesome land flowing with milk and honey where we will labour no more in vain. Isaiah 46:3-4
c) Entering into this place of rest is by faith and reliance on the word of God.
d) It is entering into salvation’s rest that brings an end to all forms of burdens for those not in Christ. Matthew 11:28.
e) A place of rest ends all travails, difficulties and evil activities.
SUMMARY: We should be prepared to posses the future God had prepared for us
CONCLUSION: God has greater things in mind for the great commission He has committed into our hands as Christians and we would only succeed if we pursue same in God’s purpose and wisdom.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, please cause all Christians to possess entire world for Christ. Deut.1:7-8
2. Father, let there be release of resources for us to possess the world for You.
3. Father grant RCCG members grace to occupy till You come.
4. Father, don’t let us lose the ground for enemy’s to take.
5. We dispossess illegal occupant by depopulating the kingdom of darkness. Amen.
GOLDEN DIET FOR THE WEEK.
MONDAY: God has promised us to possess witht His help.
TUESDAY: It is an awesome land flowing with milk and honey. Isaiah 46:3-4
WEDNESDAY: Entering into this place of rest is by faith and reliance on the word of God.
THURSDAY: There is an end to all forms of burdens for those that are in Christ. Matt 11:28.
FRIDAY: There is an ends to all travails, difficulties and evil activities.
SATURDAY: Before affliction stops, you must come to the cross. Matthew 11:28
SUNDAY: All you need has been paid for. 2 Corinthians 8:9
