RCCG HOUSE FELLOWSHIP LEADER’S MANUAL 15 NOVEMBER 2020
TOPIC: GOD CAN ALSO USE YOU TO RAISE THE DEAD
OPENING PRAYER: Father, please use me for Your glory and let me do exploits for You.
PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: The leader should ask any member to explain what Dagon means.
MEMORY VERSE: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.” John 14:12
BIBLE TEXT: Mark 5:35-42
LESSON INTRODUCTION: God’s Word cannot return to Him void, it must accomplish what it was sent to do (Isaiah 55:10-11). Jesus is the word (John 1:1-2). In our today’s memory verse, Jesus expressly said that we (the believers in Him) shall do the works He did.
When He was in this world, raising the dead was among the numerous miraculous works He performed; our today’s text establishes this. When He ascended, He mandated them (the disciples) to wait for the power (Acts 1:8) which they did and the power came on them (Acts 2:1-3).

LESSON OUTLINES
1: THE DISCIPLES OF OLD FULFILLED THIS MANDATE:
As it is noted that the word of God cannot fail, the disciples went into action of performing miracles. Peter is a clear example of this, when he prayed like Jesus and raised DORCAS from death (Acts 9:36-43). Even though Paul was not yet a disciple when Jesus was physically present on earth, he brought back to life EUTYCHUS (Acts 20:8-12).
2: YOU ARE INCLUDED IN THIS MANDATE:
According to Mark 16:17-18, anyone (including you) who believes in our Lord Jesus Christ and His word can perform diverse kind of miracles, including raising the dead. However you must fulfill these fundamentals: (i.) to be born again (John 3:3-5), (ii.) to believe in the word of God (John 1:12), (iii.) Evangelise and pray for the sick and they shall recover (Mark 16:15-18, 20). Gradually you begin to raise the dead through Jesus.
ACTIVITY: Mention the names of the apostles who raised the dead in their ministry and the names of the people they raised from the dead.
SUMMARY: Keep preaching the gospel in season and out of season and exercise faith in God. Miracles will come.
CONCLUSION:
God is committed to the fulfilment of His words. However, your faith is needed for the performance. So, take the bull by the horn by going out to preach the gospel; – then the miracles, signs and wonders shall automatically follow you (Mark 16:20).
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, thank You for Your word of assurance sent to us today.
2. Father, please make all our House Fellowship Centres miracle centres.
