LESSON FIFTEEN (15)
TOPIC: A DAY WITHOUT PRAYER WEAKENS YOUR CHRISTIAN FIRE

OPENING PRAYER: Father, give me the grace to mortify my body through prayer.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: Leader should ask the members to mention bible verses that talked about God never forsake His faithful servant

BIBLE TEXT: Daniel 6:1-11,1 Thessalonians S: 16-18

LESSON INTRODUCTION: Prayer is the staff a Christian needs to move with God. It is the lifeline of Christianity. Any Christian without the staff of prayer is in a great danger.

It is very dangerous to be far from God or to be disconnected from Him because the devil will so much deal with such a person (Ephesians 4:7).

When we are hot and on fire for God, the devil watches us from a distance, he dares not disturb, but he never relents. This is why it is so crucial that we maintain our prayer life.

A life of consistent daily prayer is the weapon to keep us off the radar of the devil. Jesus admonished His disciples to watch and pray so that they would not fall into temptation. Luke 22:40

LESSON OUTLINE
WHAT ARE THE REASONS FOR PRAYERLESSNESS?

• Laziness. (Proverbs 6:9)
• Sin.(lsaiah 59:1-2)
• Bad Friends. (1 Corinthians 15:35)
• Ignorance of God’s promises. (Romans 8:38-39)
• Lack of understanding of the word of God.(Proverbs 4:9)
• Lack of knowledge controlling the world.(Ephesians 6:12)
• People become prayerless when they are unaware that prayerlessness is a sin before God. (1 Samuel 12:23)

DANGERS OF PRAYERLESSNESS

1. Prayerlessness is a sin. (1 Samuel 12.23)

2. Prayerlessness is disobeying God (John 15:14)

3. Prayerlessness is conspiring to reduce the Kingdom of God on earth. (Matthew 9:37-38)

4. Prayerlessness limits the manifestation of the sons of God on earth (Matthew 17:21)

5. Prayerlessness is an outright rebellion against God. (Joshua 28:1 6)

6. Prayerlessness withdraws the presence of God. (Jeremiah 15:6).

ACTIVITY: Mention other reasons of prayerlessness?

SUMMARY: Prayer is the key to GOD and weapon of a believer.

CONCLUSION: Note that the death in your prayer life is a call for celebration in the Kingdom of darkness because you are now vulnerable, that is why the Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to pray without ceasing. Be vigilant (1 Peter 5:8)
