OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 4TH FEBRUARY 2020: BEWARE OF SPIRITUAL FRAUDSTERS
MEMORISE: For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Matthew 24:24
READ: MATTHEW 7:15-20
15.Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16.Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17.Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18.A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19.Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20.Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

MESSAGE:
There are many spiritual fraudsters around these days.
Many of them exhibit what looks like the gift of the Holy Spirit, but be careful, the devil also gives spiritual gifts.
They get their victims through display of these gifts and before their victims know it, they would have given them all that they are asking for.
If someone comes to you, telling you about yourself that you never expected them to know, don’t be fooled by that, the devil uses evil spirit for soothsaying (Acts 16:16). Jesus told us in Matthew 7:20:
“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know
them”
He did not say we will recognise the real prophet by their gifts, He said we will recognise them by their fruits.
So pay attention to the fruits and their character, don’t even talk to them at all.
If the fellow is not exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit, it does not matter if they stop rain mid-air, they are fake, run from them.
ACTION POINT:
Look out for fruits, not gifts of the spirit.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: EXODUS 34-36 ; MATTHEW 23:1-22
HYMN 5
1. Christian, seek not yet repose
Hear thy gracious Savior say;
Thou art in the midst of foes:
Watch and pray.
2. Principalities and power
Mustering their unseen array
Wait for the unguarded hours:
Watch and pray
3. Gird the heavenly armor on,
Wear it ever night and day;
Ambushed lies the evil one:
Watch and pray.
4. Hear the victors who o’ercame,
Still they mark each warrior’s way;
All with one sweet voice exclaim,
Watch and pray.
5. Hear, above all, hear thy Lord,
Him thou loves to obey;
Hide within thy heart His word:
Watch and pray.
6. Watch, as if on that alone
Hung the issue of the day;
Pray, that help may be sent down:
Watch and pray.
