OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 23 FEBRUARY 2025 SUNDAY: THE INTEGRITY OF BOAZ
OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 23 FEBRUARY 2025 MEMORISE: The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him. Proverbs 20:7
OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 23 FEBRUARY 2025 BIBLE READING: Proverbs 28:6-10
6 Better is the poor who walks in his integrity Than one perverse in his ways, though he be rich.
7 Whoever keeps the law is a discerning son,
But a companion of gluttons shames his father.
8 One who increases his possessions by usury and extortion Gathers it for him who will pity the poor.
9 One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.
10 Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way, He himself will fall into his own pit;
But the blameless will inherit good.
Be a person of integrity!
Today’s Confession: I confess today that I am a child of God, full of integrity, walking in truth, and fulfilling my words just as my Father in heaven does in Jesus’ name. Somebody shout Hallelujah!
OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 23 FEBRUARY 2025 MESSAGE:
Integrity is being true to your word. When you are a person of integrity, what you say will be consistent with what you do.
Anyone who calls himself or herself a Christian must be a person of integrity.
In Matthew 5:37, Jesus Christ said, *”But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.”*
As someone with integrity, it is important to fulfil promises you make to people. If, for any reason, you cannot fulfil your promise, you must discuss it with the fellow involved and explain the circumstances.
You shouldn’t go back on a promise without any explanation – that is not what your Father in heaven would do.
Philippians 2:10-11 says that the name of Jesus is so powerful. At the mention of His name, every knee in heaven, on earth, and underneath the earth should bow, and every tongue should confess that Jesus is Lord.
As powerful as the name of Jesus is, the Bible says that He magnifies His Word above it (Psalm 138:2). This is why we completely trust in the word of God.
We know that He can and will do what He says He will do.
*QUIZ:* In which of Paul’s epistles did he encourage Christians to be followers (imitators) of God as dear children?
OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 23 FEBRUARY 2025 KEY POINT
If you say that you are Christ-like, then your word must be your bond.
OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 23 FEBRUARY 2025 HYMN 53:
PRAISE HIM, PRAISE HIM JESUS OUR BLESSED REDEEMER
1 Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
Sing, O earth, His wonderful love proclaim!
Hail Him, hail Him! Highest angels in glory!
Strength and honor give to His holy name!
Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard his children.
In His arms He carries them all day long.
O ye saints that dwell on the mountain of zion
Praise Him! praise Him!
Ever in joyful song!
2 Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,
For our sins He suffered and bled and died;
He, our Rock, our Hope of eternal salvation,
Hail Him! hail Him! Jesus, the Crucified;
Loving Savior, meekly enduring sorrow,
Crowned with thorns that cruelly pierced His brow;
Once for us rejected, despised, and forsaken,
Prince of Glory, ever triumphant now.
3 Praise Him! praise Him!
Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,
Heav’nly portals, loud with hosannas ring!
Jesus, Savior, reigneth for ever and ever;
Crown Him! crown Him! Prophet and Priest and King!
Death is vanquished! Tell it with joy, ye faithful,
Where is now thy victory, boasting grave?
Jesus lives! No longer thy portals are cheerless;
Jesus lives, the mighty and strong to save.
