OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 18 MAY 2025 SUNDAY: THE MEEK

OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 18 MAY 2025 MEMORISE: The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. Psalm 25:9

OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 18 MAY 2025 BIBLE READING : Matthew 26:47-54

47 And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

48 Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.

49 And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.

50 And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.

51 And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest’s, and smote off his ear.

52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 18 MAY 2025 MESSAGE:

As a teenager, you are one of the leaders of tomorrow. This means that you need to start cultivating the right attributes that will make you successful as a leader in the future.

Meekness is an attribute of the Holy Spirit that you have to cultivate now if you want to achieve great feats in life.

To be meek is to have authority but show great restraint in exercising it.

For example, Moses was referred to as the meekest man on earth (Numbers 12:3) because, on several occasions, the lsraelites spoke against him, but he remained calm.

Even when God wanted to punish them, he still pleaded on their behalf. Jesus Christ is another example of a person who showed great meekness.

When He was beaten and crucified, He could have called on angels to save Him, but He didn’t.

Beloved, don’t be so temperamental that you seek vengeance against everyone who offends you.

If you want to be a successful leader, you must be meek. You must also be ready to forgive whoever wrongs you.

Be like your heavenly Father, who is slow to anger and rich in mercy (Psalm 145:8).

OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 18 MAY 2025 HYMN 33:

GUIDE ME, O THOU GREAT JEHOVAH!

1 Guide me, O Thou Great Jehovah!
Pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but Thou art mighty,
Hold me with Thy powerful hand:
Bread of heaven! Bread of heaven!
Feed me now and evermore,
Feed me now and evermore.

2 Open Thou the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow:
Let the fiery, cloudy pillar,
Lead me all my journey through:
Strong deliverer! Strong deliverer!
Be Thou still my strength and shield,
Be Thou still my strength and shield.

3 If I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside:
Bear me through the swelling torrent,
Land me safe on Canaan’s side:
Songs of praises! Song of praises!
I will ever give to Thee,
I will ever give to Thee.

4 Saviour, come! we long to see Thee,
Long to dwell with Thee above;
And to know in full communion,
All the sweetness of Thy love,
Come, Lord Jesus! Come Lord Jesus!
Take Thy waiting people home,
Take Thy waiting people home.
