OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 10 MARCH 2020 TUESDAY: SPEAK OUT
MEMORISE: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
READ: 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
MESSAGE:
In this time and age, there are many adults who molest children.
They come to you in a friendly manner; they could even be your family members or trusted family friends.
They have one major trick to make you shut up and that is to threaten to harm you if you tell anyone.
My beloved child, there is no harm greater than the one that they are trying to do to you, so speak out.
When you tell your parents or a trusted adult what they are doing to you, you can be protected from them and be sure that they will be punished.
But if you keep quiet, they will not stop.
If any uncle or aunty trying to touch you in your private part?
Shout out and call the attention of the people to yourself, so that he will stop.
Avoid staying alone at home with anyone of the opposite sex, even if the fellow is a trusted family member.
Stay outdoors when they are inside. If you notice any suspicious movements by them, alert your parents or any trusted adult around you.
Please my dear child, don’t keep quiet when you are molested or during an attempt to be molested.
Speak out quickly.
KEY POINT:
Speak Out! Evil thrives in secrecy.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
DUETERONOMY 11-13 ; MARK 13:1-13
HYMN 9
1. What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!
2. Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a Friend so faithful?
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
3. Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield You;
You wilt find a solace there.
