Please read: Matthew 6:25-27

MESSAGE:
A man who had been chain smoking for years gave his life to Christ. Not long after, he went
back to cigarettes and he kept battling with a relapse of his Christian faith until one day, the brother who led him to The Lord plainly told him:

“If you truly took that decision to follow Jesus, then God has forgiven and saved you. The power to overcome this sinful habit has been released, but you have to choose to enforce your rights or not.
As long as you fail to receive and use the power, you will remain enslaved to smoking.”

The day you received Jesus Christ into your
heart, power was released unto you, but the power will not work till you exercise it. Change
occurs in the process of exercising power from the Holy Spirit. You have to daily present your fears before the Lord and allow His power to
take control.

Frequently ask for His help instead
of worrying and falling.

KEY POINT:
When you worry about a matter, your attempt to solve it may compound that matter.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Deuteronomy 1-2
Mark 11:1-19

Hymn 10
1. What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Ev’rything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Ev’rything to God in prayer!

2. Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a Friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our ev’ry weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer!

3. Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Saviour, still our refuge,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield You;
You wilt find a solace there.
