OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TEENS 31 AUGUST 2019
THEME: GLORY FROM CHILDREN
MEMORISE: A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother. Proverbs 15:20
Read: Acts 21:9
And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.
MESSAGE:
The greatest achievement of any parent is when their children do well in their studies and life.
They become happy and fulfilled that they have played their part well as parents.
Just watch the parents of the child that gets the most awards during prize giving day, they are usually very excited.
This is how you should make your parents feel.
I may not know your parents personally, but I am very sure that they are doing their best to ensure that you become successful in all you do.
Please make their efforts worth it. They may not tell you, but I know that good parents make sacrifices for the success of their children.
Sometimes the money they used to pay your fees was borrowed, sometimes they have to forfeit certain assignment just to come and pay you a visit in school.
It is shameful when your parents are called because you broke a school rule, it is shameful if you become pregnant or impregnate someone outside marriage.
A good child will ignore all distractions and pursue success so as to bring glory to his parents. Are you a good child?
PRAYER POINT:
Father, please help me to always bring glory and not shame to my parents in Jesus’ name.
