THEME: SIN FACILITATOR?
MEMORISE: But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Matthew 18:6
READ: Romans 1:29-32
29.Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30.Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31.Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32.Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Psalms 1:1-3
1.Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2.But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3.And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
MESSAGE:
Read – Open Heavens 14 December 2019
According to our memory verse today, one very dangerous thing that one can do is to lure other people to sin. A sin facilitator is not just as sinner, but an agent of the devil.
The person has volunteered himself to the devil to recruit people for hell.
When a boy is asking your friend out, are you the kind of friend that advises her to accept the boy’s proposal?
When your friend is angry a and wants to fight someone, do you encourage the fellow to fight?
Do you teach your friends to disobey and lie to their parents? Do you teach other boys how to get girls to accept to sleep with them?
Don’t feel like as star for doing these things, you are only a star in the kingdom of darkness and it is the devil and demons that are applauding you.
To God, you have joined the camp of His enemies because friendship with the world is enmity with God. (James 4:4).
KEY POINT:
Those in Jesus’ camp help people to avoid sin while those in devil’s camp encourage people to commit sin.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: AMOS 1-3 ; REVELATION 5
Hymn 2
1. When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
2. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
3. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.
4. But we never can prove the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
5. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.
