OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TEENS 24 FEBRUARY 2019 – CAUGHT UNAWARES?

MEMORISE: I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. John 9:4

Read: John 9:1-4

1 AS HE passed along, He noticed a man blind from his birth.

2 His disciples asked Him, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he should be born blind?

3 Jesus answered, It was not that this man or his parents sinned, but he was born blind in order that the workings of God should be manifested (displayed and illustrated) in him.

4 We must work the works of Him Who sent Me and be busy with His business while it is daylight; night is coming on, when no man can work.

MESSAGE:

There are two important appointments for everyone on earth: the appointment with death and life. If a fellow keeps the appointment with life which is through Jesus Christ, he will escape the appointment with death. Read – Open Heaven 24 February 2019

But if a fellow misses the appointment with life, death becomes inevitable. This appointment leads to the worst life in eternity.

Nobody wishes to die young, but our wish does not stop young ones from dying. Jesus knew this, he knew that the time He had on earth was very limited (33 years), so He spent His days on earth doing the works of His Father. He didn’t go about chatting or sleeping, he went about doing good (Acts 10:38). Read – Open Heavens 24 February 2019

Don’t feel you are too young to make an impact in your world. Don’t say you don’t have time for evangelism. Do everything you can per time as you do not know what the next moment holds.

You are not too young to preach in your church, Jesus started having deep Biblical conversations with Pastors before He was even a teenager (Luke 2:41-47). Do the work of your Father when you are still young and vibrant because what will count at the end of your stay on earth is how well you did.

KEY POINT:
You are not too young to start making an impact.

Mark 5:21-43

Hymn 7

1. I am Thine 0 Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.

Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

3. Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!

4. There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.
