SECURITY IN UNITY I

MEMORISE: And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12

Read: Proverbs 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

MESSAGE:

In the village where I grew up, we used to cook with charcoal. If you have many charcoals burning together and you separate one of them from the rest without putting it off, before long, you will realise that the charcoal you separated will turn cold while the others will keep burning. Thus is the power of association. Whatever comes in contact with heat will become hot.
Translating this to our everyday Christian life, you are to look for hot Christians to befriend and fellowship with. Read – Open Heavens 21 May 2019

If you move to a new school or home, look for a Bible believing fellowship to belong to. When you are beginning to feel cold spiritually, look for a hot group of Christians to fellowship with and they can transmit their heat to you to make you hot again.

KEY POINT:
If you want to remain hot, you have to constantly be in contact with heat.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
1 Chronicles 1-2, John 7:32-53

Hymn 13
1. Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is the love of God flowing through you?
Are you telling the lost of the Savior?
Are you ready His service to do?

Chorus:
Make me a channel of blessing today,
Make me a channel of blessing, I pray;
My life possessing, my service blessing,
Make me a channel of blessing today.

2. Is your life a channel of blessing?
Are you burdened for those that are lost?
Have you urged upon those who are straying
The Savior who does on the cross

3. Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is it a daily telling for Him?
Have you spoken the word of salvation?
To those who are dying in sin?

4. We cannot be channels of blessing
If our lives are not free from sin;
We will barriers be and a hindrance
To those we are trying to win.
