OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TEENS 18 JANUARY 2019 – GOD’S TIME OR YOURS?

MEMORISE: He hath made everything beautiful in His time: Ecclesiastes 3:11

Please read: Psalm 27:4

MESSAGE:
One challenge many believers face irrespective of age, is reconciling our time with God’s time. Even when people say “God’s time is the best” not many of them are ready to wait for it.

God knows the best time for you to become a leader in your group or school. Don’t try to manipulate anything so that you can lead.

God knows the best time for you to go to the university, don’t try to bribe your way in. Read – Open heaven 18 January 2019

whenever you have a need, just tell it to God and be sure that He will meet that need at the right time. When we want to get what we want in our own time, we end up committing sin.

By the way, God also wants good for us, so what makes us think that we must cut corners to get what we want when our God can easily do what we want at His time.

Even if it is your parent or guardian that is trying to cut corners, tell them to stop and let God do it in His time. Such brave steps of patience provoke God to action.

He knows what is best for you, and at what time it is best. Just follow His timetable humbly and you will never regret it.

KEY POINT:
Surrender all of your issues to God and let Him take care of them in His time.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Genesis 42-43
Matthew 13:33-58

Hymn 1
1. My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary,
Savior divine!
Now hear me while I pray,
Take all my guilt away,
Oh, let me from this day
Be wholly Thine!

2. May Thy rich grace impart
Strength to my fainting heart,
My zeal inspire!
As Thou hast died for me,
Oh, may my love to Thee
Pure, warm and changeless be,
A living fire!

3. While life’s dark maze I tread,
And griefs around me spread,
Be Thou my guide;
Bid darkness turn to day,
Wipe sorrow’s tears away,
Nor let me ever stray
From Thee aside.

4. When ends life’s transient dream,
When death’s cold sullen stream
Shall o’er me roll;
Blest Savior, then, in love,
Fear and distrust remove;
Oh, bear me safe above,
A ransomed soul.
