In the journey of fulfilling your calling, it’s crucial to be the boss of your body and resist every temptation that leads to sin. The Bible, in Galatians 5:17, tells us that our body and spirit are in a constant battle.

You’ve got to keep your body in check to avoid getting into trouble. When God gives you an assignment, He’s got your back against any force trying to hinder your success.

As Romans 8:31 puts it, “If God is for you, who can be against you?” But, here’s the twist: you could be the one against yourself if you can’t keep your body in check.

It’s not just about steering clear of sin; you’ve got to do everything in moderation. Apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians 6:12, teaches us that though all things are lawful, not all are expedient.

Even the necessary things must not have power over you. In 1 Corinthians 9:24-27, Paul declares that he keeps his body under control. So, imagine it like telling your stomach, “Here’s when you’ll eat next,” or telling your eyes when they’ll sleep next.

Even when you pass tempting restaurants or catch a whiff of delicious food, you’ve got to ignore the devil’s tricks. Mastery comes with being temperate in all things, as he that strives for mastery must be.

It’s like being the boss of your own body, and it’s not always easy, but it’s necessary for a successful journey in fulfilling your calling.
