MESSAGE:

Hymns is defined as a religious song or poem of praise to God. Sadly, the act of singing hymns is a healthy habit that is gradually reducing amongst the children of God particularly teenagers today.

In fact, there is one challenge we experience with the devotional every year: it is the choice of suitable hymns for the daily devotion.

Often, we wonder if the teenagers would know a particular hymn and at the end, we limit the scope to the most popular hymns.

Hymns are a lot better than some of the songs we sing during praises these days. This is because most hymns are loaded with words of wisdom based on divine inspiration.

Therefore, hymns are ideal not only in church services but also during personal devotion.
However, you may not appreciate hymns if you don’t study the Bible.

You also have to be Spirit-filled to understand the messages in hymns. So, if you have not been singing the hymn for the daily devotion, start today.

HYMN 1: ALL HAIL THE POWER OF JESUS’ NAME!

1.All hail the pow’r of Jesus’ name!
Let angels prostrate fall,
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown Him Lord of all.

2.Crown Him, ye martyrs of our God,
Who from His altar call;
Extol the stem of Jesse’s rod.
And crown Him Lord of all.

3.Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race.
A remnant weak and small,
Hail Him who saves you by His grace,
And crown Him Lord of all.

4.Ye Gentile sinners, ne’er forget
The wormwood and the gall;
Go, spread your trophies at His feet,
And crown Him Lord of all.

5.Let every kindred, every tribe,
On this terrestrial ball,
To Him all majesty ascribe,
And crown Him Lord of all.
