OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 16 NOVEMBER 2020 BIBLE READING LUKE 10:30-37
30. And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32. And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
33. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
34. And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
35. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
36. Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
37. And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 16 NOVEMBER 2020 MESSAGE
Love is a divine nature which is expected of every child of God. Love is also the foundation for every godly relationship.
Believe me, if your life must please God, you must love everyone.
One of the basic principles of love is caring for people, not just fellow Christians, church members or close friend, but everybody.
It is surprising how some Christians attend every service, sing Christian songs, dress in a godly manner, yet find it comfortable to hate people around them.
When you are driven by the love of God, you will find it easy to love those in your neighbourhood.
Of course, you are to hate the sins they commit and never join them, but you should never hate anyone.
lf you are the type that is quick to condemn others, you are not showing love. Criticism is not a reflection of love.
If you flare up easily at little or no provocation, people can’t easily approach you for help, they can’t even dare to use your things in the hosteI/apartment, you are far from demonstrating love.
God expects us to love the neighbour next door, the cleaner, maid, rich, poor, your roommates irrespective of their tribe and religion.
God expects us to love everyone we come in contact with. Those are your neighbours.
OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 16 NOVEMBER 2020 KEY POINT
Your neighbours are the testimonials to your love.
OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 16 NOVEMBER 2020 HYMN
WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS
1. What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Ev’rything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear-
All because we do not carry
Ev’rything to God in prayer!
2. Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a Friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our ev’ry weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
3. Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Saviour, still our refuge,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.
