OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 12 JANUARY 2022 MESSAGE

Respect is a deep regard for the feelings, wishes, or rights of others. Everyone is important and worthy of respect because we were all created in the image of God. This was the message our Lord Jesus Christ passed across by His action in today’s Bible text.

Aside from the spiritual implication of washing His disciples’ feet, He showed them that they were of premium worth in His hands. No wonder He provided for them, defended them, and took up their issues as though they were His.

As an adolescent, there will be times that your opinion on a matter would be different from others. Irrespective of the familiarity or age difference between you and the person, you must not allow your conversation to degenerate into disrespect.

Just like Jesus, you must respect everyone, most importantly, your parents, as this is a key to having cordial relationships with them.

Don’t get discouraged even if people don’t respect you in return, keep sowing the good seed of respect in your attitude because it will make God happy.
