MEMORISE:
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Open Heaven 26 January 2018 Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 2:9-14

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

I trust God that over the past few days of our study on the fruit of the Spirit, your relationship with the Holy Spirit has been revolutionised. Open Heaven 29 January 2018

Yesterday, we reflected on gentleness and
goodness, and today by God’s grace we will reflect on faith and meekness.

What is faith? In simple terms, faith is taking God at His word and accepting His verdict in all situations. Open Heavens 25th January 2018

Let’s consider what the Holy Spirit has to say about faith in Hebrews 11:6

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

This statement makes faith a fundamental virtue of the Christian life. Read: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TEENS FRIDAY 26TH JANUARY 2018: GENTLE SPIRIT

Our God operates in the realm of the spirit, and so when He speaks, His
words come across as foolishness to the natural man (1 Corinthians 2:14).

How do you believe something that appears foolish? How can a natural man believe in what the senses cannot comprehend? Well, glory be to God, our Lord knows our frame and understands the limitation of the natural body we inhabit (Psalm 103:13-14). Rccg Fasting Prayer Points For 26th January 2018

It is for this reason that He sent the Holy Spirit to live within us, thereby empowering us to live above our limitations (Romans 8:11, 26).

It takes walking with the Holy Spirit to rise above the senses and operate in the realm of faith. Open Heaven 31 January 2018

Faith is the nature of the Holy Spirit, and so those who cultivate a relationship with Him are enrolled in the school of faith where their faith is developed to the level where they effortlessly manifest the character of faith (John 14:26). Read: The Great Journey To Discovering Spiritual Gifts

Faith in God opens the doors of
possibilities beyond the wildest imagination.

What is meekness? When someone has the power to retaliate a wrong done against him or her but decides to let go in the spirit of forgiveness: that is meekness.

A commander-in- chief who is insulted and laughs it off with the sincerity it takes to forgive and forget can be said to be meek. This character trait is necessary for peace to reign in the Body of Christ and for her to be one. Read: Never Underestimate The Power Of God: True Life Stories Of Men and Women Who Tasted The Wrath Of God In Our Days

If Christians manifest this nature and engage in governance, the world would be at peace. The meekness of our Lord Jesus Christ is perfectly described as a signpost for us in Isaiah 53:7

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

May the Lord make you an embodiment of faith and meekness in Jesus’ Name. Open Heaven 2 February 2018

Open Heaven 26 January 2018 HYMN 2: I NEED THEE EVERY HOUR

1. I Need Thee every hour,
Most gracious Lord;
No tender voice like Thine
Can peace afford.

Chorus:
I need Thee, Oh, I need Thee,
Every hour I need Thee;
Oh bless me now, my Saviour;
I come to Thee.

2. I need Thee every hour;
Stay Thou near by;
Temptations lose their pow’r
When Thou art nigh.

3. I need Thee every hour,
In joy or pain;
Come quickly and abide,
Or life is vain.

4. I need Thee every hour;
Teach me Thy will,
And Thy rich promises
In me fulfil.

5. I need Thee every hour,
Most Holy One;
O make me Thine indeed,
Thou blessed Son.

The presence of Holy SPIRIT in our life can is the only thing that can help us to manifest the spiritual gifts such as forgiveness and faith, practically the devil Will tell you it is not possible but Faith will help you to say it is possible.

But what if you follow all these instructions and the same God abandons you to suffer? In my case, I had followed Him all the way to my peril now. I thought God is everything but I did not know that I should have been careful.Or I should have had to add my human thinking and judgement to my service to God. Now am full of regrets, not seeing any end to my shame. If I had not done the right thing as the bible says I would have been saying I am at fault but when you have done… Read more »

Danny, God is too faithful not to perform his words. For you to say you have done everything the Bible said, it means there is something missing in your relationship with God. I advise you to go for counseling from a man of God. God can never fail.

Hi Danny, I know God is too faithful to disappoint. At His appointed hour He will surprise you. Please don’t lose HOPE. Don’t give up. Jeremiah 29:11 – kindly meditate and hold on to His words therein. Also kindly seek counseling. I’m holding on likewise. Never letting go of His words. It will be fulfilled. You will pursue, overtake and recover all. Amen. Cheers

Testimony!
I thank God for meeting me at the point of my need through His word and the explanation of His word through His son , daddy G.O. . God was talking to me about meekness and leaving the situation for him , that I cannot vindicate myself. He confirmed His word through this medium yesterday that He was the one talking to me.
Praise the lord!!

Dear brother Danny! Psalms 92:15: (New International Version) proclaiming, “The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.” Joel 2:27 – God promised never will His people be ashamed. From generation to generation, our God never fail! He is too big to fail. Yes no one knows what you’ve been through, firstly, everyone is going through one thing or the other- John 16:33, but no one that is Christ is alone in his/her challenges. Please be encouraged, ask God for forgiveness because it’s an insult for any human being to look to God and… Read more »

Great comments . It reminds me of the conversation job and his friends were having when Job was passing through challenges . The joy of it was that , at last Job won. Every one of us passing through any challenge, God will give us victory IJMN
