OPEN HEAVEN 12 JUNE 2019 WEDNESDAY – PRAYER: A HIDDEN MINISTRY

OPEN HEAVEN 12 JUNE 2019 WEDNESDAY

OPEN HEAVEN TOPIC: PRAYER: A HIDDEN MINISTRY

OPEN HEAVEN 12 JUNE 2019 MEMORISE: I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; – 1 Timothy 2:1

OPEN HEAVEN 12 JUNE 2019 READ: Matthew 6:6-13 (KJV)

6. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

7. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do; for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8. Be not ye therefore like unto them; for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

9. After this manner therefore pray ye; Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11. Give us this day our daily bread.

12. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil; For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Prayer is a powerful means of communicating with God.

The great thing about prayer in the era of the new covenant in Jesus’ Blood is that there is no need to say prayers in any special location or facing any particular direction for God to hear us.

God is a Spirit, and those who worship Him must do so in spirit and in truth; therefore, the location where prayer is made is of little importance. (John 4:24). Also Read – Open Heaven 11 June 2019

A carefully consideration of Scripture shows that prayer was offered to God in a variety of places.

OPEN HEAVEN 12 JUNE 2019

In Acts 3:1, Peter and John went into the temple to pray, while in Acts 16:25, Paul and Silas prayed in the prison, and in Acts 16:13, prayers were said at the bank of a river.

In Acts 20:36-38, the brethren prayed together at the waterfront.

Further still, in (1 Corinthians 1:4) and several other Bible passages, prayers were made through the writing of letters.

Now, even though we often pray outwardly and in public places, prayer is more or less a hidden ministry. Also Read – Daily Declarations 11th June 2019

A powerful and successful prayer life is born and sustain in the hidden places of the prayer closet. We learn this from Christ’s teaching on prayer and also from observing His personal prayer life.

RCCG OPEN HEAVENS 12TH JUNE 2019

Although the Bible records Him praying publicly on several occasions, Jesus taught us to pray in the closet, behind closed doors, where confidential matters can be discussed between God and man.

In Matthew 6:6, He said:

“But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut the door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in the secret shall reward thee openly.”

Jesus also lived by this principle. In Matthew 14:23, He went up alone into the mountain to pray, while in Luke 11:1, He was found praying alone in a “certain place”.

In Luke 9:18, even while in the company of His disciples, Jesus was said to be alone praying. This indicates that Jesus entered into His prayer closet despite having people around.

OPEN HEAVENS FOR TODAY 12 JUNE 2019

He kept the focus of His prayers, i.e His prayer points, private and confidential. He took His prayer as a secret between Himself and the invisible God, who gives answer to the secret prayer in the open. Also Read – Prayer Points For Open Heaven 11 June 2019

It is therefore necessary and wise for Christians to treat prayer as a hidden ministry, Daniel did exploits through prayers but he kept his prayer behind closed doors and strictly confidential (Daniel 6:10, Daniel 9:3).

In essence, prayers that move mountains are often made privately. Develop your private prayer life today, and you will receive wonderful testimonies that call for celebration.

A good prayer life is one with much victories. I pray for grace upon your life to pray more often, in Jesus Name. Conquer laziness and procrastination, start an active prayer life NOW!!!

OPEN HEAVEN 12 JUNE 2019 HYMNAL:

HYMN 8: MY FAITH LOOKS UP TO THEE

My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary,
Savior divine!
Now hear me while I pray,
Take all my guilt away,
Oh, let me from this day
Be wholly Thine!

May Thy rich grace impart
Strength to my fainting heart,
My zeal inspire!
As Thou hast died for me,
Oh, may my love to Thee
Pure, warm, and changeless be,
A living fire!

While life’s dark maze I tread,
And griefs around me spread,
Be Thou my guide;
Bid darkness turn to day,
Wipe sorrow’s tears away,
Nor let me ever stray
From Thee aside.

When ends life’s transient dream,
When death’s cold, sullen stream
Shall o’er me roll;
Blest Savior, then in love,
Fear and distrust remove;
Oh, bear me safe above,
A ransomed soul!

Numbers 7 King James Version (KJV)

7 And it came to pass on the day that Moses had fully set up the tabernacle, and had anointed it, and sanctified it, and all the instruments thereof, both the altar and all the vessels thereof, and had anointed them, and sanctified them;

Jeremiah 51: 59-64

59 The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, when he went with Zedekiah the king of Judah into Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. And this Seraiah was a quiet prince.

60 So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon.

61 And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, and shalt see, and shalt read all these words;

62 Then shalt thou say, O Lord, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.

63 And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates:

64 And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 52:1-11 King James Version (KJV)

1 Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

2 And he did that which was evil in the eyes of the Lord, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

3 For through the anger of the Lord it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, till he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

4 And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about.

5 So the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.

6 And in the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.

7 Then the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king’s garden; (now the Chaldeans were by the city round about:) and they went by the way of the plain.

8 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.

9 Then they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; where he gave judgment upon him.

10 And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.

11 Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.

Brethren, thank God for the grace of God upon you which has been helping you to publish His word .
However, I want to suggest that you keep the write-up of Daddy G.O. separate from every other prayer points and comments and not the other way round. It seems that we are loosing track of what our farher in the Lord writes because other things are added to his writing.
God bless
