5 MIRACLES AND MYSTERIOUS ACTS BY APOSTLE JOSEPH AYO BABALOLA

The move of God in every generation is always undeniable.

From the Bible, we see that God works with men who choose to obey and yield to Him and raises some to become mighty prophets and pastors who lead His people. God uses them in such great and strange ways that the whole of creation is compelled to pause and watch in awe.

Just as He did with men in scripture, God has and still does mighty things through men in our dispensation. This is why we’ll be looking at some powerful and mysterious acts by God’s Generals of old in Nigeria.

Some of these acts go unrecorded while others are recorded and documented for the sake of remembrance – some physical monuments and evidence still exist to date to serve as a reminder to us.

In the same way, God confirmed the words of the Apostles through signs and wonders in scripture (Mark 16:20), God did with these men who walked this earth.

In this post, we will be sharing 5 powerful acts God performed through His servant Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola and some of his recorded signs and miracles.

Apostle Babalola was born on the 25th of April 1904 and from birth, God’s hand was seen in his life. His mother narrated the several encounters she had before his birth. Angels appeared to her on her way to the farm telling her of the mighty man she was about to give birth to.

On the night of his birth, there was very heavy rainfall and thunder like never before.

Below are 5 of the many miracles God wrought through the hands of his servant Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola.

1) RAISING A DEAD BOY

The first mind-blowing wonder of this season of revival performed through the hands of Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola was the raising of a dead child.

The mother of the dead child was overjoyed and like the woman at the well, went about spreading the news around the town of Ilesa proclaiming that a miracle-working prophet had come to the town of Oke-Oye. This announcement drew a large number of people to Oke-Oye to see the servant of God.

2) PRAYING ON THE MOUNTAIN

Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola was a man of prayer. He spent several days in the mountains praying.

On a mountain called “ori oke Aanu” (Mountain of Mercy) in Erio-Ekiti in Ekiti state, Nigeria, this patriarch of faith knelt and prayed for many days and his knees were said to have mysteriously pierced through the hard rock from long hours of kneeling to pray to leave a giant hole in the rock. The hole remains there to date.

3) HEALING MALARIA

In Oke-Oye, a town in Ilesa in Osun state, in the year 1932 during a great revival, Apostle Ayo Babalola healed people of malaria during the time of a malaria plague that was deadly.

4) FASTING AND PRAYERS AND THE PYTHON.

“Once, while he was in a prayer retreat at Ido-Ajinare in Ekiti State, after hours of prayer, he heard a sound of a moving object in which the Lord instructed him not to open his eyes. As he continued in prayer, a large python crawled over him. Later God instructed him to open his eyes and he readily obeyed. Just a little distance from where he was lying down, the Lord pointed to the python that had been roasted as if an electric current had shocked it.

With this evidence, God told him that he had turned him into the coal of fire and that he had now become untouchable from evil powers. His dedicated prayer life and the manifestation of signs and wonders through charismatic gifts exposed the weakness and emptiness of most of the existing churches at the same time. His prayer life has become a challenge to the past, present and future generations of Christians. At times, he would engage in marathon fasting and prayers for up to forty days. During this period, he would retreat to a secluded place or mountain tops to wait upon the Lord. 5) HEALING OF BLINDNESS FROM A DISTANCE

On a particular day, the mother of a man of God called Fabunmi (who was then a little blind boy) locked him up at home and went to attend a crusade by the patriarch of the CAC, Apostle Ayo Babalola. While the mother prayed at the crusade, her little blind boy received his miracle behind closed doors at home.

“From afar I heard the voice of Babalola saying that those who were sick should place their hand on their ailing parts. I quickly complied and to my surprise, a ray of light filled the room and within a few minutes I could see again’’ Fabunmi explained. Open Heaven 9 May 2023

God used his servant Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola to trigger a spiritual awakening during his time. This revival ushered people into a season of strange signs, wonders and occurrences. Babalola was a man who had strange passion for prayer and through the help of the Holy Spirit, he spent a large part of his life fasting and praying. He is said to have fasted for 40 days and nights more than twice in his life.
