5 THINGS BELIEVERS MUST ALWAYS REMEMBER IN THESE PERILOUS TIMES

2 Tim. 3:1
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

We are in perilous times where a lot of events are occuring all at the same time. These times are filled with evil but we are not surprised as scriptures have warned us early enough that these times would come.

Would you like to be part of this Kingdom? All you need to do is accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Say the prayer below: “Lord Jesus, I come before You today with a broken and contrite heart full of repentance. Please, forgive me all my sins. Today, I surrender my life to You, I believe that Jesus is Lord and I confess it with my mouth. Jesus, come into my life and save my soul from eternal destruction in hellfire. In Jesus’ name, Amen

In these times, it is important for believers to remember certain key things. These things help us stand firmly in the victory that Christ has won for us.

 

1. THE BIBLE CONTAINS THE WISDOM OF GOD

God’s Word is ever valid and true. It is relevant for every situation and circumstance. In these times, believers must feast on God’s Word and make it their reference for every situation. Be engrossed in the Bible and devotionals that help you stay on track. It is easy to get caught up in the news and on social media, feeding on the wisdom and guidance of man but remember that man is limited and only God is all-knowing and everlasting. Instead of letting culture and the news shape our minds, we must return to the Word of God for guidance, transformation and wisdom.

 

2. PRAYER IS A POWERFUL KEY WE MUST NEVER LET GO OF

James 5:16
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much

Philippians 4:6-7
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

These are times when we need the power of God and the peace of God most. And the two scriptures above clearly let’s us know how to get both. If you will walk in power and enjoy peace, then you must never neglect prayer. This is the time to keep the fire of prayer burning more than ever. Pray over your nation. Pray over your family. Pray over your children. Pray over your life.

Leviticus 6:12-13

12 The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat of the fellowship offerings on it. 13 The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.

 

3. WE MUST NEVER FORSAKE THE GATHERING OF BRETHREN

We need our church and fellowships more now than ever. The gathering of the brethren is the place to encourage other believers and be encouraged. When we gather with other believers, God is in our midst and we get edified and strengthened even more.

Proverbs 27:17

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another

 

4. OUR LOVE FOR GOD MUST GROW STRONGER

The Bible has told us that these are the times that the love of many will wax cold. This is already evident in the kind of decadence in our world today. Many are focusing on other cares of this world and have allowed it take thier love for Jesus away. We must not get caught up in the world and take out eyes off Jesus.

 

5. THE COMING OF OUR LORD IS HERE

Everything happening today points to one fact- the coming of Jesus Christ is here. This is bad news for some people but great news for everyone who has been redeemed from destruction. The coming of Jesus marks the beginning of a new Kingdom where everything evil does not exist.
